Derek Randle and his team at The Retriever Academy are absolutely first class! This team has done an excellent job with my pup Bodie. Over the past several months, I have watched Bodie steadily progress, gaining the necessary confidence and drive in all of his field work. Bodie always appears to be extremely motivated towards all training activities presented. I believe that a great deal of his motivation to excel in these training activities, must be attributed to the outstanding environment in which he is employed by Derek's team.
I am extremely pleased with the training services received and would absolutely recommend The Retriever Academy to anyone looking for a first class retriever training team to partner with.

I have had a wonderful experience with The Retriever Academy. My dog always looks great physically and I see progression in his training every week. They share videos, pictures, and phone calls throughout training when available. The training grounds are world class and only the best equipment used. I highly suggest Derek and his team!

Derek and Melinda operate one of the premier training facilities in the country. They currently are training two of my families retrievers. With Derek’s guidance I was able to put master titles on both dogs and pass at the Master National. I greatly appreciate there expertise as trainers and am happy to be able to call them friends as well.

I have had the opportunity to experience two of the best dogs I could possibly imagine because of The Retriever Academy. Derek and everyone else has been exceptional to work with and have been extremely accommodating. I would recommend them to anybody and will send every dog I have to them because I know they do an excellent job. My two black labs aren’t only the best family dogs and have been a blessing to my family, but are also great hunting dogs and I am so thankful to The Retriever Academy for that. I wouldn’t change a thing about the process I went through with my pups.

Our Group just spent a week on this fantastic property! The accommodations were beyond expectations! The main house sleeps 8 and the bunk house has a full size bed and 3 bunks. Both have full size kitchens and living rooms. Every furnishing inside the house revolves around retrievers. The bathrooms are nicer than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at! The staff is very helpful and constantly makes sure your stay is perfect.
Now let’s talk about the property!!! The technical water gives you so many options! From the swim by Pond to the multiple opportunities to set up complex marks or water blinds. I’m guessing the back property has the ability to set up 350 yard land blinds, with some options for variant cover and watermarks at the same time. All in all I feel very fortunate to have spent this past week there, thank you Melinda, Jason, and Steph! I can’t wait to make it back soon! Thanks for everything!
