The Puppy School of Fort Collins

Our dog, Harry, has completed puppy kindergarten and Levels 1 and 2 with Roo at the Puppy School of Fort Collins. Roo has the perfect balance you are looking for in a dog trainer! She loves all the dogs equally and uses positive reinforcement to gently teach them and their people new commands. Classes are small for personal instruction and new commands are taught and reinforced each week. These classes are fun yet also serious as Roo only wants the best for your dog which means she will want you to practice, practice practice what she teaches you each week! Classes are held in various spots around town which engages the puppies and allows them to have new experiences. We would recommend Roo for your puppy training!

Roo’s training techniques have worked so well with our first puppy, Zoya, that we have continued to work with her for our second puppy, Nika, who is 8 months younger than her older half sister. It is amazing how much the younger one has learned just by mimicking the correct behaviors and responses of her older sister, which has helped to progress her training even faster. Roo’s enthusiasm and teaching techniques WORK, and have given us a level of trust and confidence that allows us to truly love and be grateful for the puppy parenthood experience!

Sammie is the 4 y.o. Puppy-mill mother we just adopted. My husband and I needed assistance in helping her, and after doing research we found the expertise needed at The Puppy School. Roo used a thoughtful and individualized approach in training our dog to meet the challenges of life with confidence. Roo addressed the unique needs that Sammie had with knowledge, patience, and a sense of humor.
