FirstBarkWe have a 5 month old puppy and did a private class at The Puppy School. It was very insightful and we're using what we learned to help with training our puppy - we're already seeing result too! Roo is very experienced in what she does with training dogs and a lovely human. We'll be taking another private class in the near future!

So thankful we found Roo! We appreciate the judgement free zone where we can learn how to set boundaries for our dog and the reasoning behind each step. We’ve learned so much and are so hopeful and excited at the quality of life we will be able to give our girl with these tools in place!

I brought my 3 year old rescue (Stella) to Roo for one private class and my relationship with my dog has already changed drastically! Dealing with an adult high-energy rescue dog that has been abused was very hard to navigate. In the past, I focused on using treats as a reward or distraction, but Roo helped me understand that Stella does not need treats, she needs a strong leader and lots of pets! There have been times where I have felt helpless with Stella and her various behavioral issues--jumping, pulling, disregarding any command...even the act of preparing for and going on walks stressed me out. Stella now sits and waits for me to hook her leash to her collar and doesn't even need her no-pull harness! I am so grateful that Roo takes on and understands adult rescue dog. She is the perfect resource for anyone struggling with their rescue!
Roo is a fantastic teacher for both first time owners and experienced dog people. She has a caring and gentle approach to dogs and their owners and a great work space. We were most impressed by her level of knowledge and personal approach. I highly recommend at least one private lesson to get you started on the right path with your pup.
Roo was the ray of sunshine our rescue dog needed to come out of his "scared of everything" shell. She provided us the confidence we needed to effectively train him and help him learn to be comfortable around other people and animals. The level of empathy and exuberance she puts into every lesson is amazing.
