The Puppy School of Fort Collins

We adopted Sokka at 3 months old and decided we needed to do some training, he was generally very timid and very scared to meet other dogs. We found the puppy school online and signed up for kindergarten 1 with a discounted rate because he was rescued from New Mexico. On the first day he was scared, barking, hair standing up, for sure the least socialized of all the puppies in class. By the last class he was confidently playing with all the other dogs happy as could be! We learned a lot as owners and he learned so many skills at the puppy school. Roo really cares about the success and well being of your dog, we would highly recommend her! we can’t wait to go back for kindergarten 2!

We can’t say enough good things about The Puppy School! Roo is an amazing trainer who truly cares about you and the success of your puppy! Dobby and I just finished Kindergarten 1 & 2 and have seen a noticeable improvement. We love the small class sizes, personalized instruction, and the puppy playdates! It’s incredibly rewarding to watch the puppies socialize and learn to interact in such a safe environment. We can't wait for our next class

I have really enjoyed the puppy classes so far! They have been relaxed a fun and covered some basic manners and commands. I’ve really liked that they are outside. It’s been a great way to bond with my puppy and meet some other puppy parents. I especially love the socialization aspect of it and that it’s an opportunity for my puppy to learn to listen to me while we are outside and there are other dogs around her.

We’re so thankful we found Roo and decided to take our four month old puppy Willow here. Classes adapt to the changing needs and states of multiple puppies and the dynamic between them, who shows up, what she feels would be best to learn at any given time. Shes gentle but firm in instruction, insistent on what we should be aiming to instruct, and always gives the reasons why. Roo is kind and I always have the feeling she’s not just looking to teach puppies things that make them fit into the world and our lives, but maximally set them up for a life of happiness and enjoyment. We did a few private lessons and let me tell you, her emailed instructions and lesson details are incredibly well thought out, hand made, and intentional. She goes above and beyond at every turn and I wouldn’t hesitate to refer her to everyone I know. She’s affordable and lives and breathes for the dogs she meets.
