The Puppy Center - Bradford Dog Training

I can not say enough good things about this business. The puppy classes and puppy day school will set your new puppy up for success for the rest of their lives. As a veterinarian with young children, I should have known better than to adopt a nippy herding breed puppy, but the training and socialization that she received at the Puppy Center has given me the peace of mind that she will be gentle with my children now and in in the future. I now tell all of my clients that as soon as they adopt a puppy they should immediately contact the owner, Mary Bradford, to sign up for classes and enroll in the day school. There are not many trainers in Rochester with the expertise, experience and ability to transform your 'rude' puppy into a polite gentle one and most importantly help them develop develop bite inhibition (learning how to bite softly so as to not hurt anyone.) Mary is simply amazing and uses only positive reinforcement training and exposes your puppy to other puppies, different surfaces and experiences in a safe supportive environment (which is necessary for their healthy development).

Best training class we’ve ever been to and best trainer we’ve worked with!!! I’m so confident that we are on the right track with making Maisie the most confident, best pup ever. I love that we are meeting the puppies where they are at and not assuming they know what we want them to do. Mary is so patient and you can tell she is here not only for the dogs but for the dog parents too. Having a 1 anxious and 1 reactive rescue, I soooo appreciate Mary’s program. Almost any dog can learn sit but socializing a dog properly as a pup, goes so much further IMO. When I take Maisie out in public, I get emotional because I know we are not only building the best dog for our family but we are giving her the best life we can!!!! I’m so glad I took this recommendation from the Rochester Dog Mom and Dad group on Facebook.
