The Puppy Center - Bradford Dog Training

I could not be more happy and grateful that Mary and The Puppy Center is a resource to help me raise my first puppy. (I am the guardian of other dogs, but this is my first puppy.) Mary's knowledge and skills as a dog trainer continue to impress me with every class. Her down to earth and approachable personality are what really set her apart from others in this field because, really, what good are a Trainer's skills, if they can't connect and teach you - the person. Imagine how thrilled I was to learn that she offers day school. A place where not only does my puppy get to have fun with his friends, but he gets to learn and grow into well a mannered dog. We are so lucky to have this gem of a resource right here in Rochester!!

We have really enjoyed taking our newest puppy, Winston, to Mary's puppy training classes at The Puppy Center! It has given Winston a great foundation of skills and helped us to form a connection with this great little dog! Mary's classes are very personalized, informative, and interesting - I love how she explains the rationale behind each of the different techniques that she teaches so that you are able to easily understand and remember. Most of all, her puppy classes are a lot of FUN, and were enjoyed by all of us! I would highly recommend Mary's classes, as well as her "puppy socials," for any puppy - they are great for those who have never owned a dog before, as well as long-time dog owners. Her teaching style is interesting, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the results are wonderful!

Mary is so amazing with puppies and dogs alike. She worked with my first dog through advanced training courses, various puppy play times and even struggles my pup encountered along the way. Now, we visit Mary for training with my current giant puppy in hopes to become a Canine Good Citizen. She has an uncanny ability to read the animals body language and truly understands their behaviors. To top it off, she is so patient with their human companions and teaches us just as much. We travel all the way in from Honeoye to see her because she is that amazing at what she does!

So, long story short, Mary is the dog whisperer. She utilizes positive training in such an effective way and is incredibly in tune to the emotions and overall well-being of each of the dogs in her classes and day school. Because of this, she has shaped my baby into a dream dog. She has guided him into learning what behaviors make him a good puppy friend and helped him to learn the appropriate ways to socialize. Her calm energy makes the chaos of having a puppy manageable and her insights into behavior modifications/improvements are invaluable. Sending my pup to day school is the best day of the week for him - he can’t wait to get in that front door to get the pawty started. We’d be lost without Bradford Dog Training and the day school at The Puppy Center!!!!
