The Polite Dog

Mark is the ultimate dog whisperer ! I have had the opportunity to witness first hand many of his training sessions. I am in awe of how well he is able to communicate the behavior he expects and is able to achieve the results . He is firm but always gentle. He not only trains the dogs but also the families so together they peacefully coexist. I would not even consider anyone else for dog training !

Keiko is our first puppy and we had NO idea how much work a puppy needs to become a well-adjusted dog! 😳 Mark at The Polite Dog worked with Keiko to overcome her shyness with strangers and children and get a handle on her puppy impulsivity! She walks calmer on a lead, reliably comes when she's called, is staying down (ie not jumping on people!) more every day and she's willing to give new people a chance. When my partner and I first adopted our rescue dog, Leopold, he was shy and anxious. Because we adopted him right before the pandemic began, we struggled to socialize him. For the first few months that we had him, we were worried that he would always act defensively towards new people, growling at and hiding from anyone who wasn't us. Fortunately, Mark, the owner, is a true dog whisperer. He broke through to Leopold in no time and helped us bring him out of his shell, allowing him to trust us more and acclimate to his new home. He also taught us how to understand our pup. Thanks in large part to Mark, Leopold is a happier, friendlier dog than we ever imagined.
