Just one private lesson with Mark made a profound difference. From the first phone call to him, he was focused on what behaviors we needed to address with our young dog and our end-goal. The lesson began from the moment he rang the bell. One behavior is jumping on people, so we started with that. Another was taking hands and fingers into her mouth. Then Mark set us up for success but showing me how to get her to lie down and calmly accepts pets and positive attention. We went on a brief walk and improved leash behavior. Mark is very well organized and focused, and follows up each lesson with a summary and follow-up training advice. Highest recommendation!

I cannot speak highly enough of The Polite Dog. Mark helped my family after we adopted a 1-year-old Maltese mix who thought he ate on the kitchen table with us. Mark worked in a few sessions with us to teach us and our small children some commands to make the transition much easier with a young rescue dog, who is now much more polite. We were impressed with not only his work with our dog, but also patience in helping our whole family learn the commands and be part of the sessions. We highly recommend Mark's services and will be reaching out again so as we added another puppy to our home.

I couldn’t be happier with the training my Black Lab, Whiskey received! Mark was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, tailoring techniques to suit his personality and energy level. Labs can be a handful, but with Marks guidance, he’s now well-mannered, responsive, and a joy to be around.
