The Pet Whisperers

I'm sad to have to write this review because my family has always trusted them with our dog, but NEVER again. I wish I could give their pet boarding 0 stars, but Yelp doesn't have it. I will start off by saying that Noah and Caleb are awesome dog walkers and our dog will miss her weekly walks with them. The problem we have with the Pet Whisperers is their overnight procedure. They are horrible with their office booking and their management. We had schedule to have them pick up our puppy dog for three weeks and the week before we were going to leave for 7 days we called them to make sure that our dog was scheduled for those days. Kristen said that she forgot to put her on the books but she would do it as she speaks. So we figured that when they picked up our dog on Tuesday that they were going to return her on Monday night after the daily walk. We even gave the driver gallon ziploc bags with her food portioned out, two small bags per day, and the ziplocs had her name on it with instructions on it for 1 bag in the morning and 1 bag for evening. To our horror, they dropped our puppy dog back to our house on Tuesday night after the daily walk. Our dog was home alone from Tuesday night until Sunday night all alone with no food or water. Luckily we came home a day earlier, she was so so skinny. We figured that she stayed alive with the sprinkler water that came on once a day for 7 minutes, and that was all she had. For them to make that mistake is unforgivable, but to have them not call us back after countless calls is simple cowardly. If you feel that you still trust them with your family member then I would drop her off and pick her up, and call at least every other day to make sure your dog is still there. Thank you, Robert

I would definitely not recommend this business. Unprofessional and unorganized. My boyfriend and I brought our dog their for training. Due to reviews and recommendations, we thought it was a very good idea. It was suggested they take our dog for 4 days and would call us with progress, if our dog needed more work or could come home. During this time we did not call because we did not want to bother the trainers before the 4th day. On the 4th night the main trainer called us and told us how Bo was doing and suggested that something may or may not be wrong with our dogs eyes. This was alarming but in a way explained somethings. He (main trainer) than told us to meet him and our dog Saturday morning at Lake Miramar so we can see Bo, see how he has progressed and speak about continuing care. We showed up on time Saturday and no dog, no trainer. We finally ran into a dog walker we recognized from instagram and asked where our dog was. The dog walker said no one had told him about bringing the dog. Very strange. Later that afternoon we tried to call the trainer to see what had happened and make sure everything was ok. No answer - No call back. From Saturday to Sunday night we called over 12 times to see what the plan was. You may think excessive but everyday our dog is there we are racking up a bill. We don't mind paying for a service as long as the business is honest and communicating what is going on. NO COMMUNICATION. Finally, we went straight to the home (yes home) of the trainer, paid his staff in FULL and took our dog back. Even after bringing our dog home, we still consistently tried to get in contact with these people to see what we were suppose to do next. We weren't at the point of giving up because a staff member there..I believe to me the trainers father mentioned that he is unorganized but knows what he is doing. It has been 3 weeks. No one has called us back yet. At this point we took our money elsewhere. As a business owner myself I could never treat a client like this. I just hope they are so successful that losing a client doesn't hurt them to much, bad behavior is just bad business.
