The Pet Connection

What an amazing organization! The Pet Connection is a 501c3 rescue organization that does positive reinforcement, force-free training, specializing in behavioral dogs, as well as adoptions. Not only have I and my family members done training with our dogs here, but I have fostered and adopted a dog through TPC. I have seen the trainers with TPC work absolute MIRACLES with dogs that may have otherwise been put down due to their behaviors, making sure owners have all sorts of resources to achieve the best training possible. The Pet Connection also will do training for puppies, as well as full grown dogs you've adopted that don't have behavioral issues, just need training to be good doggo citizens. They are likely the most affordable training facility around town, too. The Pet Connection also works with almost all the other rescue organizations in the area, providing training for their furry clients and their fosters so the dogs have the very best chance of being adopted. Dogs aren't the only animals The Pet Connection has rescued, either! They are active in assisting with rescue and rehoming of cats, birds, rats, and even a pig, just to name a few. Not every rescue can boast of having trainers who have worked with and trained exotic animals, but TPC can (if they were boastful)! The Pet Connection also has a Sanctuary in Beloit, Kansas, where dogs (and cats) can go to board and train, do day training, or, if it is determined that there are health issues that prevent the animal from being adopted, live out their life. Euthanasia is an absolute last resort. The bottom line is, this place has been a godsend for so many animals and people. I can only give five stars because that's Google's limit, but I'd give them 100 if I could! These people work so hard for such a worthy cause and they operate strictly on donations. Melody and her team work MIRACLES for so many pets. From training the most difficult pets, fine-tuning the pets whose owners just need a little more guidance, to the in house boarding/training programs they offer. All amazing work, with the biggest, selfless, caring team of staff and volunteers ever. Their efforts to take in stray/abandoned pets into their entirely VOLUNTEER/private home foster based program has not only saved so many pet's lives from the streets. Their volunteer foster program also gives some of the local city shelters room for their stray intakes when there are open homes within The Pet Connection's foster system. I can not say enough good things about them, and all the work they do for our fur babies all over the Metro area.
