I recently enrolled my dog in this dog training program, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The trainers are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient and understanding. The positive reinforcement techniques used have made a significant difference in my dog’s behavior. The facility is clean, well-equipped, and the staff truly cares about the well-being of the dogs. I highly recommend this dog training center for anyone looking to strengthen their bond with their canine companion. Let me start this review by saying Jeremy and Marcus are great. They're knowledgeable and take the time to customize techniques to suit each dog individually. We really enjoyed out time utilizing their services and are sad to not continue, but there is a large communication issue. We were told during our initial evaluation that they like to do at least two classes a week, then ended up with seven weeks with only one class a week due to repeatedly having our classes rescheduled at their request. Additionally there was no communication after our last class about what steps to take moving forward. After a week I followed up asking what I should do now and the response was to schedule us to test for the CGC when itd been previously discussed that my dog was not ready for that (I was left on read by Melisa when previously trying to confirm that before our last class). We were scheduled to test 2 weeks later, which was 3 weeks after our last class. I did appreciate Marcus meeting with me afterwards to discuss plans going forward with my dog. He said he would have Melisa reach out to schedule more classes. That was 19 days ago and I never heard from anyone about scheduling more classes. I dont feel I should have to chase someone to get them to take my money. I'm aware of my dog being difficult for some trainers and if she was difficult for them, I would've appreciated being told that up front instead of being strung along. I did follow up a little while ago to ask if it was possible to get a letter saying my dog completed a set of classes with them and was told they could provide that, but I've yet to receive that and have a feeling I won't at this point.

I wholeheartedly recommend Northwest dog trainer! All the staff have been extremely helpful and my pup and I have grown leaps and bounds in terms of managing her fear based reactivity. The classes involved real world activities and training methods that helped with desensitization/exposure, training in obedience and improving confidence. We found a place that was accepting and supportive of my pup's issues and my need for more help in training her!

My sweet gal, Abba, was a reactive, skittish, rescue that fell into my lap unexpectedly. After a few months of thinking I could do it on my own and continuing to fail I contacted The Northwest Dog Trainer. From the start Marcus & Melisa were so supportive and I instantly felt a huge weight lifted off my chest. Every issue I told them about in our evaluation they didn’t even bat an eye at and reassured me they could help, and they did! I am so grateful I found them and I put my trust in their more than capable hands. Abba and I can now go on walks without me having to worry about crossing paths with another dog or a “scary” object. I have been able to take her to places that I never dreamt of being able to take her; work, stores, pack walks, trick or treating, etc. I genuinely cannot say enough positive things about my experience with The Northwest Dog Trainer. They give you & show you the tools you need to succeed & if you put in the work and utilize their knowledge/training and make an effort you will succeed!
