Hi Olivia, I’m truly sorry to hear that you felt disappointed with your experience, and I appreciate you sharing your concerns. My goal is always to support both dogs and their owners—especially in situations that involve safety or aggression—and I take that responsibility seriously. When you reached out urgently because your dog had recently attacked another dog and you were afraid to take him outside, I wanted to make sure you had immediate help. Even though your official training appointment was still two weeks away, I invited you to our weekend Group Class at no charge so we could get you started right away. During that session, we spent about an hour working together, and your dog made major improvements very quickly: • He went from refusing to exit the car to jumping in and out confidently • He began walking calmly with the muzzle on • He went potty outside for the first time in days • He was able to walk near other dogs safely while you felt more comfortable These were the foundational issues preventing you from being able to walk him or even leave the house, and I was very proud of his progress. We had not yet begun your actual lesson plan, which would have been our first full, private session focused on leash mechanics, muzzle conditioning, and beginning the structured process necessary to address dog-aggression long-term. Unfortunately, the appointment was canceled inside 24 hours, and although I offered to help or reschedule, you declined. I completely understand that dog aggression can feel overwhelming, and many owners hope to see full off-leash socialization quickly. However, when a dog has true aggression and is not yet trained on the muzzle or leash, we always start with: • Proper leash mechanics • Muzzle conditioning • Confidence building • Controlled exposure Before any dog-to-dog socialization can safely take place—especially off-leash. Realistically, fixing dog aggression takes several weeks of consistent training, and we hadn’t yet begun that process. Even so, I want you to know that I am still very willing to help if you’d like to continue. Your dog showed tremendous potential in just one free session, and I’d love the opportunity to support you both and help him progress through a structured aggression-rehab program.
