The Modern K9 dog training

Our dog was three years old and I needed her to be trained. He did exactly what he said he was going to do. Corey is very professional and very personable. He has so much knowledge, and when he shared that with us, it all makes perfect sense. Having Emmie training with him and continuing to train with us makes our life so much more manageable and healthy. Thank you Corey! We think you’re great!!!:)

Tommy & Kayla turned our 6 year old rescue pittie who had been tied to a tree her whole life with zero social, leash or training skills, into a brand new dog. She tried to kill our cat because she had such a high prey drive, she’d (scream?!) whine/bark at dogs walking like 3 football fields away & she listened to ZERO commands. She would just stare at us. 3 weeks later at Modern K9’s Board & Train and we had a new dog! She is the best now and we constantly get complimented on how well behaved she is. She’s an angel with ou cats, we can say “house” & she runs to her crate, she can enjoy (when leash laws don’t apply) being off leash because we know she will always come back because of her recall skills….so many amazing new qualities in her that have her living her best adoptee life! Best & smartest investment we’ve made!

We dropped off our lovable, goofball 10 month old lab puppy, Hazel, at Corey’s the end of December 2023. We weren’t sure what to expect but we knew we needed help controlling her enthusiastic behavior. We were so pleased with the results. She is still our lovable goofball, but Corey’s training and coaching has made a very positive impact for all of us. She’s more attentive during walks and pulling has virtually stopped, she no longer tries to dart out open doors, she stays in her “place” until we release her, and she is just overall calmer. It’s work that never ends, but following Corey’s advice is critical. We continue to follow through on Corey’s plan and it’s proven to be successful. Corey has worked wonders in his Board and Train Program with our very lovable, highly energetic, mischievous and headstrong Bulldog mix, “Pinto”. Corey is a master at his craft and very knowledgeable as well as patient. He explains to us the theory behind his process and it’s enlightening and helpful to us in trying to maintain and reinforce the progress he’s made with Pinto. We just took Pinto back for another Board and Train for off-leash learning. We highly recommend Corey without reservation!

Corey is the best! I was skeptical on what type of meaningful training could be accomplished in a 2 week period. After meeting with Corey and leaving two 9 month old puppies with him, the results spoke for themselves. The dogs are still their goofy personalities but have learned respect! Sit, stay, down, come, go, ok, etc. were clearly taught. The team there is amazing and the results are real. You deserve this. Your dog deserves this. Just be advised, he isn’t a magician. It is YOUR responsibility to maintain the training. If you slack with it when you come home, the dog will too. It’s equivalent to paying for and going to get personal training/nutrition. It doesn’t matter what program the trainer puts together for you; if you don’t follow it after you leave, you won’t get fit! Same principle. We’ve recommended family and friends to Corey and his team and they have all experienced the same results.
