The Modern K9 dog training

Reached out in regards to some reactive behavior correction at first he was responsive. Picked a day to do an in home evaluation. Went about week waiting to hear from Corey for a time slot. The day of he reached out asking if we had a time set and I responded no but I had flexibility bc we cleared the night of plans knowing he was coming . Never heard from him after that . Essentially a no call no show . Pretty unprofessional

We took our 3-year-old German Shepherd to Corey for his two-week board and train program, and the experience has been truly transformative—for both our dog and us as owners. Before training, our dog lacked clear boundaries at home and was reactive on the leash. Now, she’s not only more confident and responsive, but we’ve also been equipped with the tools and understanding we need to continue that success long-term. What really sets Corey apart is that the training doesn’t stop when you pick your dog up. He comes to your home and meets you in a public settings to ensure you’re supported in real-world situations. He’s incredibly dedicated and has gone above and beyond to help us feel confident and capable. You can truly see his passion for dogs and for helping people become the best owners they can be. We’re so grateful for the foundation he’s given our dog, and even more so for the support he continues to provide. Highly, highly recommend!

Corey helped me with my mini Australian shepherd Bella. We thought she was showing signs of aggression with new dogs so I reached out to him for help after failing with petsmart trainers. We did a 2 week board And train program. Corey was great to deal with and answered all of my million questions. When we picked Bella up she was a completely different dog. She had gone from a puppy with no structure and minimal manners to a puppy who will listen to what is asked. We are still actively building off the training and structure that Corey was able to start the foundation for. I am also still learning! But even after completing the board and train lessons Corey will still answer any questions or concerns I may have. I look forward to furthering mine and Bella’s training as time goes on with Corey! I highly recommend him!

We sent our Australian Shepherd, Ellie, to Corey and The Modern K9’s board and train program, and wow—what a transformation! Before training, Ellie was constantly pulling on the leash and barking at pretty much everything. Walks were exhausting, and it felt like we were always managing chaos. Since training, she’s so much more calm and focused. Walks are actually enjoyable now (who knew that was possible?), and the barking has gone way down. But honestly, what we appreciated just as much as the results was the ongoing support. Corey didn’t just hand her back and disappear—he’s been so helpful and responsive every step of the way. Anytime we had questions or needed a refresher on something, he was quick to respond with advice and encouragement. It’s clear he really cares and wants both the dog and the owners to succeed. If you’ve got a reactive or high-energy pup like Ellie, I seriously can’t recommend this program enough. Total game-changer! Thanks Corey and The Modern K9!!
