The Learning Dog Behavior & Enrichment Services

I'm very disappointed that they decided to "retire" the enrichment time.My dog and I were so happy to finally find a place that she could be happy about going to as opposed to her going into "flight/fear" mode like she would do when we went to other training facilities that she experienced high anxiety and stress at.We started coming to The Learning dog academy in September of 2023.The 1 hour of Enrichment time significantly changed her for the better!I saw the positive changes in her.I never imagined that 23 months later they would "retire " the Enrichment time!They seem to still offer it,but only for dogs who sign up for the "private training/enrichment time ".For my dog to be suddenly excluded is not going to have a positive outcome for a dog who really looked forward to going there.Where is it beneficial to do that to her?They surely still have the building set up for enrichment time. But from what I'm seeing,if you don't have an aggressive, reactive,problem dog,then you're not allowed to come anymore.I even started bringing my new 2nd dog.We only got 1 visit there before they decided to pull the plug on our favorite Enrichment time!I don't see why they would deny a dog who NEEDS her enrichment time so that she can continue being the calm confident dog in the outside world that she became.I would have gladly paid extra $ for my dog to be there getting the enrichment time she so desperately needs. I don't see how this exclusion is not being taken into consideration if they are trying to help dogs.2 years of "customer loyalty " and I even sang the praises of The Learning Dog Academy to anyone looking for a dog trainer and I put their fliers in out in the community. Now I am un-recomending! I cringe at the thought of my dog relapsing back to the dog she was before we started coming to the Learning dog academy.I wouldn't have given a 1 star,but I have to because 0 star is not allowed and I felt this review is needed.Now my dog's breeder and I are scrambling around trying to find a new plan for my dog because it's important for the Belgian Shepard breed to have positive consistency to have a well balanced dog.

Shannon has been a god send to our household. We currently are 5 sessions in to our 8 session training schedule and I can’t recommend her and the learning dog academy anymore!! We tried training at pet smart (was a no go) a few years ago with another dog and it was a bad experience so I was hesitant.. but they have knocked it out of the park. The facility is beautiful and my dog is so comfortable there, she also comes to our home for a well rounded training. My boy is doing so good, and she makes IT FEEL EASY to train. Low stress, and really breaks it down. I am so happy I chose the learning dog academy and that we got Shannon! Thank you! (The picture is my well trained boy at the vet being a good boy because the training WORKS)
