I sent my pup to Richard at The K9 Training Academy when he was about 8 months old (2020). He came home perfectly trained! Fast forward to 2024 and I had to reach back out because I was inconsistent with correctly walking my pup and he was a mess on the leash. With guidance from Richard, within a few days, my pup was walking like a gentleman again for the first time in a quite a long time. My small pup is now a 90 pound gentle giant thanks to Richard and the staff at The K9 Training Academy.

After a great bit of research I’m very grateful I chose K9 Training Academy, Richard, and my new beautiful German Shepard. When we met to discuss my what I required, Richard listened carefully to my particular needs with the goal of procuring the perfect fit. His process of vetting a number of dogs to find the perfect temperament and fit was a great success. Even though I’m a bit of a “right now” kind of person it was easy to be patient as I learned a lot about what it takes to properly train the dog to perform specific tasks as needed. My new dog has been amazing, and Richard has been very helpful in answering all my questions, no matter how small. My new dog is a well balanced and intelligent dog with a willingness to please and a drive to work. In only a very short time I have already referred a number of new clients as I have been asked many times when out in public with him “where did you get your dog trained, he is so obedient?” My dog’s training is exceptional and it shows. The most difficult part was training me, and K9 Training Academy provides the much needed handler training.
