The K9 Consultant

Our boy, Apollo, has benefited SO MUCH from his training from the K9 Consultant! Apollo has a strong personality and is unfortunately a reactive pup towards humans. (He was rescued from an obvious abusive beginning) I wanted a way for Apollo to be safe in any setting we were in, whether at home, the vet, or going for a walk. My husband and I were referred by a friend of ours, Ashlee, as she too had a wonderful experience with the K9 Consultant. I called immediately, and the over the phone consultation was extremely helpful, which put my mind at ease. We scheduled a day for Apollo to begin his training, and when the day came, Mickey with the K9 Consultant, drove an hour to our home, gave Apollo ample time to be around him while getting to know my husband and I, as well as discuss Apollo’s upcoming training while answering any questions we had. He then secured Apollo into a safe kennel and drove him the hour back to their training area. Throughout the 2 weeks, we got daily texts and picture updates of our Apollo. I never once worried about our dogs safety or comfort! I knew he was in great hands. Mickey drove Apollo back to our home once his training was complete and spent an hour going over how we could effectively continue with the training at home. Apollo has been home about a month now, and he has continued to make great progress! K9 Consultant has been the best decision we have made for our pup! Murphy is home and is doing great! He is a 10-month old Husky/Pit mix, and he is one goofy, playful, stubborn, loving, cuddly, strong-willed, curious, high energy, jealous, vocal pup that we love! With that being said, his strong personality was difficult for us to train him on our own. After sending him to K9 Consultant, it is SO much easier to now be able to communicate with him properly on what he can and cannot do, and he actually listens!! He comes when called with no hesitation, and he really understands what we mean when we say no! Walking him is so much easier, and the place and down commands are extremely helpful! He is still on point with all commands when other dogs are around as well. He is still the same goofy, fun loving dog with his same personality that we LOVE, but the difference is that he now listens when we communicate with him. Thank you Mickey, Duke, and everyone at K9 Consultant!!! You all have been so helpful and amazing at explaining everything throughout this process!

I never give reviews but several weeks ago this picture would have been impossible to take. I wanted to share my amazing experience with The K9 Consultant 2 week basic obedience school with everyone. My German Shepherd, Sable, has learned so much and her behavior has improved tremendously. The staff at The K9 Consultant, especially Mickey who was our trainer, were so knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service throughout the entire process. I was nervous about leaving my dog for 2 weeks in Mississippi, but they kept me updated regularly with pictures and progress reports which put my mind at ease. Mickey was so patient and kind towards Sable during the training and even trained us while giving helpful tips and advice on how to continue her training at home. Mickey even picked up Sable for training and brought her back afterwards. I highly recommend The K9 Consultant to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled dog training program. This place is amazing! Our blue tick hound spent 2 weeks with them and they handed him back a different dog. Still the same loving, friendly character but now he listens to us - and all of the behavior we wanted stopped has vanished. I was most impressed by the amount of time they spent updating us (with pics!) during the training process and the the time they took to train my wife and me on how to continue working with our hound. But even without much effort on our part, our hound is already dramatically better to live with. I also noticed that our hound seemed to really like the trainer - it was clear to us that they had taken great care of him. Would highly recommend K9 consultant. Our next puppy will head straight there.
