Armando has been a life saver for our family. He helped us with our fear aggressive dog years ago and now with a new puppy we have recently added to the family. He is so skilled at getting to the root of the problem so perfectly and efficiently. He sees things that are so clearly an issue that I was just willing to ignore. Probably his greatest skill is telling you in the nicest, most professional way how you need to correct your problem. His advice is always easy to understand and very doable and that is why he is so successful. His plan to get your dog’s unwanted behaviors on track are all within reach. Armando is always willing to help and I am so very happy that he continues to make himself available to us.

This is my second pup with Armando and I knew as soon as I was getting Jack that I wanted Armando to help me train him right. He definitely explains the "why" behind even the smallest actions the humans should take...and the why nots... Armando is all about positive reinforcement and you can tell he truly loves the animals he trains and wants them to be in happy, settled homes. Armando always responds to my texts when I find myself in a puppy predicament...and is ever so kind when he explains why MY behavior needs to change and how to do it. He is THE trainer to go to in the area...

I've struggled with my boy Jack for years and could never find a reputable trainer when we lived in NJ. After moving into an apartment setting Jack's behaviors started to get worse. In doing some research I had found Armando. Jack just came back from his three week board and train, my boyfriend and I noticed a difference right away. Prior to leaving for his board and train when he'd see another dog outside he'd pull on his leash and act out. The moment Armando dropped him off another dog was across the street and Jack was sitting next to him, still whining but not pulling and it was an amazing sight to see. Later that night walking him myself another dog was near and he wasn't nearly as reactive as he has been in the past. I still have a lot of work to do with Armando but I'm looking forward to bettering Jack's life out here in NY! I would definitely recommend him to anyone having issues with their pup.

We first met with Armando at our home in Spring of 2021 for a consultation. It was an overwhelming, but extremely eye opening meeting as we were at a frustrating and anxious point with our 3-year old fearful rescue dog. Armando spent over an hour with us, evaluating our situation and provided us with insight on how to approach our dogs aggression. In this consultation meeting, Armando shared a few training tips, which we failed at, and knew we had work to do!! We decided it would be best to send our dog for a board-and-train with Armando. For this three week “retreat”, Armando worked with our dog on learning many skills to make them habits. A few of those skills included: walking on leash outdoors, multiple behavioral commands and “tools” to give him a feeling of more confidence and guidance (all of which we unknowingly weren’t providing him). Right before our dog returned to us, Armando sent us an evaluation of the three-week progression and important information on how to reintegrate our dog back into the home. When our dog returned, it was time for our training (the human training) to begin. Armando provided thorough information, but not in an overwhelming way (as there is a lot to learn). He took his time and worked at our speed giving us tools and lessons in small-doses. We are a continual work in progress (and still working with Armando), but the lessons and tools we’ve learned thus far have made an incredible change for our dogs behavior and in turn, for our family. Through Armando, we have insight now into what our dog needs and what we need to do to provide that for him. We still face challenges, but we are much more confident in how to approach situations with what we’ve been taught. Armando has such a passion for what he does and you can see the connection he makes with the dogs he trains. He is direct, insightful, and responsive.
