The Hill Country Dog Trainer

It's clear Matt genuinely loves dogs which was important for us! During the time Otis was with Matt, he sent us pictures and short videos throughout the week showing us Otis' progress. He sent longer videos on the weekend that also showed progress but helped us learn how we could reinforce what Otis was learning. When we picked Otis up, Matt spent almost 1.5 hours walking us through the list we had given him, basic commands and additional commands. He showed us how to use the e-collar as a communication tool, the different settings, and when/why to make adjustments. Before we left, we practiced the basics (heel, sit, down, place) with Otis and had a chance to ask questions. We couldn't be happier with the results. I'm able to walk him off leash. He didn't chase the deer that came through our yard. And, he doesn't knock me over bolting out the door. He's still a sweet dog (Sheepadoodle) who's a little calmer and much better behaved.

Matt’s training program was very thorough and we saw great results with our 10 month old puppy Bruce. You can tell Matt truly cares about the dogs that he works with and we sincerely appreciate all of his help. Especially with building our understanding of how to lead and continue training after Bruce came home. We absolutely recommend Matt & this program for training your dog to be the best version of him/herself!
