The Happy Retriever

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with the agility classes at The Happy Retriever. My dog was fully engaged for the entire hour — which is no small feat! The class is well structured, fun, and keeps the dogs both mentally and physically active. Hannah, the trainer, is amazing. She explains things clearly, keeps the energy positive, and has a great way with both dogs and their humans. You can tell she really understands how to build confidence and skills in a supportive environment. We look forward to class every week and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to try agility with their dog! 🐾

I enrolled my dog Haku to the 6-week long agility course and he did amazing! He got over his initial uneasiness towards the tunnels, especially if they are bent and you don't see the 'light at the end of it' and he got so into it at the end, that I could barely keep up with him running alongside and directing him to the next obstacle. Hannah, our trainer, was very patient, helpful and very good at demonstrating to us the techniques and ways to guide the dogs. The class had 6 dogs and each session was build up upon the previous one, so that each class the obstacle course was slightly more complicated. One thing Haku still struggles with is the very tall and narrow dog stairs, which no amount of treats are worth for him to conquer. But who knows, maybe some day! I would absolutely recommend this class to any energetic dog (and the owner) who wants to try something new, active and fun!
