The Happy Hound Behavior and Obedience

I have never worked with a dog trainer before, even though we have had many dogs in our family over the years. We knew when we got an Irish Wolfhound puppy that training would be vital because of his size. After a lot of research we chose Sami at the Happy Hound and I am so glad we did! Sami came into our home and got to know us and our puppy. She was enthusiastic and so down to Earth. But what stands out to me is her knowledge and the immediate improvement in our puppy's behavior. Any issues we had, she knew what to do. All we had to do was follow her instructions. He is still an overgrown puppy who is learning, but with Sami guiding us we know he is going to be an amazing addition to our family! If you are looking for the best trainer, you can't go wrong with Sami!

Sami is the best!! I’m so happy I found happyhoundtraining as I was looking for someone in the Buffalo area! I signed my diamond up for a two week board and train I couldn’t be more happy with our results. I needed someone to help me understand diamonds lack of confidence/anxiety in new places/the right way to help her and Sami did just that! Getting diamond back I feel way more confident taking her on walks! Diamond seriously loved her and we will be back for more lessons very soon!!

I am so happy our family found Sami! We felt pretty hopeless prior to starting training. We so badly wanted to train our dog but were continuously quoted way more than we had budgeted. When Sami said we should start with 6 sessions, I felt so relieved that we’d be able to finally start our training journey. Our dog, Beau, struggled with reactivity and overall manners. We focused heavily on leash walking in the early sessions not only practicing structure on his walks but also building his confidence. We started to immediately see results not only on our walks but in how he listened to us around the house. We loved our Thursdays with Sami as we always came away learning something new and feeling both accomplished and hopeful about our training journey. Sami has been such a resource outside of our weekly sessions and I know she will continue to be there for us as we expand upon his training and needs. She has a great outlook on training and made it approachable for us to learn and FUN for Beau to learn. Thank you, Sami!
