The Good Dog Academy Day School and Learning Center

We have been taking our Boxer here since he was 4 months old, and now at 7 months old he is still loving his time at puppy kindergarten. He learns so much while he is there, and comes home happy and tired! We are also doing 1:1 training with Jo Beth, and it has been so helpful. Her approach and techniques are vastly different than anything we have been taught before with our other Boxers, and our dog has responded SO well. We feel good about using her techniques at home because they are simple, quick, and based on positive reinforcement only. I know Eddie would be a tough dog (just because he’s a stubborn Boxer!) without her support, and he’s doing great! Thank you, Jo Beth!

WOW! Let me just say Jo Beth is incredible, knowledgeable, and kind, she listens to your concerns and will do a test to figure out a solution. Let me introduce myself (Tammi) and my dog (Millie). Millie is a2 years old maltese/ chihuahua mix who is afraid of the outside world! When we went to Jo Beth for help my dog was feared and unconfident with everything. I'll say my dog has made some huge changes and is now a different dog. We still have a long road of training ahead of us but we will get there! Jo Beth taught us so much in 10 weeks,we are proud of the dog we have now. I will be honest and say one of our goals was for Millie to stop barking at everything! What we learned for this sometimes worked and other times wouldn't. The key is consistancy and take notes, staying calm when talking to our dog has also helped. We still have a barker but I'll scale it 1-10 she is now at a 5 when before she was off that scale! Thank you Jo Beth for changing our dog around and giving her a less stressful life experience. My dog has more confidence outside and listening is becoming easier for her. She still gets distracted but we are still teaching her these tactics. I will say my dog now knows how to sit, stay, come, down, wait, and even walks beside me and will check in by walking in a U shape to see my face, she will sit and look up at me to check in. That alone amazed me! Millie was a fast learner which helped our training! My dog was never crate trained I'll proudly say Millie loves her crate and goes in it free range all on her own. She doesn't bark at people walking by our home anymore she insteads gently gives a roo roo or does nothing at all. If you want a changed dog go to the Good dog's academy and get your fur babies some love. Jo Beth is amazing! You will be satisfied! We have a new changed dog, that we are proud of. Thank you Jo Beth for everything you taught us. If I can follow the ALL FEET STAY ON THE FLOOR training that my dog would be trained fully but I myself need training on not falling for her adorable face and picking her up. I'll get it one day. We are almost done with our puppy training with Jo Beth. She took the time to really know what our goals were for our Goosey girl and make sure we were able to reach those goals in a way that worked for our family. She spent extra time with our daughters when they needed more help understanding the trainings, or working with our baby shark of a puppy without getting bit. Shes very knowledgeable about different breeds, and gave us a lot of advice that not only helped with Goose, but with our other dogs at home as well. She didn’t just help train our puppy, but she trained us to be better dog owners too ;).
