The Fine Canine Dog Training & Boarding

Monica did a great job with our 12 week old Goldendoodle puppy Minnie. After her 10 day boot camp, she is now able to sit and stay, come when called and is much less "bitey" with everyone, especially our kids. She also sleeps through the night with no accidents. Before and after Minnie's boot camp Monica made herself available for questions and has been a great resource for us as first time dog owners. A few days after boot camp Monica stopped by the house and Minnie was so happy to see her, she went right to Monica with her tail wagging. That's a great indication that our puppy was well cared for and liked her trainer. I would definitely recommend Monica!

I have been training with The Fine Canine for 10 years. I have been going to classes with my dog Bowzer since he was a puppy. Monica convinced me to try and train Bowzer to be a Therapy Dog. I'm so glad that I did because he has been a Therapy Dog for the past 5 years. I have been in many classes over the years and it still amazes me how people come to class with their out of control dogs and leave Monica' s class seeing a difference in their dog's behavior after just one hour! Monica will always take the time to make sure that everyone comfortable with what she is teaching and that they understand why certain techniques work and some don't. She is very knowledgeable about every breed and realizes that every dog is different. I have to be able to trust that whoever trains my dog is doing it because they love what they do. Monica is clearly one of those people. I don't hesitate to call and ask her advice on any concerns I may have. If you truly want to learn how to enjoy your dog and be confident that your new (or not so new) family member will be happy and well trained The Fine Canine is the best.

True passion and amazing experience is what I discovered when I went to The Fine Canine. I brought my 8 week old Brittany "Charlie" there and was blown away by the level of experience and results I received. Monica was our first instructor I had the pleasure of working with and I really didn't know what to expect. Charlie is a competition dog and will spend many hours in the field and show ring. One thing that really impressed me was her knowledge and focus she gave towards what I was looking to get accomplished. At 8 weeks old socialization was my top priority, but I had much more on the agenda for this soon to be champion! I went in confident yet humble. I personally learned so much for myself that no Google search, YouTube video, or book could have provided me. Class sizes were great because I felt we all received our fair share. Our next Instructor was Aimee and she was just as awesome! I wasn't sure which class to put Charlie in next so I asked her opinion and she invited me to check them both out to see where I felt most comfortable. That's service you don't see in most industries any more. We received valuable resources and tips to help us on our Journey! I'm writing this review now with Charlie being 7 months old. You can officially enter AKC registered events at 6 months old and that we did! I'm excited to announce Charlie achieved his Junior Hunter Title and a placement in his first field trial prior to him being 7 months old. I say this not to brag about how quickly we did it, but because I feel we would've never done it without the impression Monica and Aimee left on Charlie and I. This journey has just begun and we are going to enjoy running the fields for birds and looking handsome in the show ring this winter. We will definitely be back to The Fine Canine to keep our skills sharp and hang with some awesome people!!!

We just finished the 6-week Puppy Kindergarten class offered by The Fine Canine. Our Trainer, Monica, was really great with all the pups in the class. Our 5-month old Golden Retriever puppy had a great time and learned a ton! If you're looking for a place to bring your puppy, or adult dog, for high-quality training, this is definitely the place to go to. We are more than impressed and will be continuing with the next tier of training that they offer.
