The Doghouse, LLC

We can’t thank Carrie, Sam, or the rest of the staff at the Doghouse enough. Before sending our 1 year old female Doberman here, she would pull on walks, was highly reactive toward other dogs (including our other dog sometimes), and just didn’t listen to commands when any distractions were around. It became unpleasant to take her outside and wasn’t any better inside because we always had to keep her separated from our other dog. After three weeks for the socialization training, she’s awesome at heeling where we get compliments often and were even asked if we’re dog trainers lol, she has learned to not react toward other dogs and we are able to communicate what we want her to do. We’re able to set boundaries in the house where the problems we had before with our other dog isn’t happening anymore (we’re still very careful with this since we just got her back recently). The fence line aggression between her and the neighbors dogs hasn’t happened since she got back. Sam was awesome and updated us with pics and videos showing what our dog was capable of, that seemed impossible before. During the transition sessions, Sam would always have answers to any questions we had and enhanced our confidence and ability to handle our dog in any environment. We can’t wait to get back every month to continue and refresh our training. If you have problems with anything from obedience to aggression, I’d stop wasting time looking for competent trainers and go to the Doghouse. There was a little waiting period so try to be proactive about getting help. I’ve never left a review on google before, but this deserves our time and effort for the results we received with our dog.

The doghouse is great!! They trained our hyper lab puppy to be a perfect sweet girl!! I can now walk her with no stress and pulling and she obeys all my commands. Its wonderful. She is now a big part of our family and were so thankful for that! Their program just made sense to us compared to others. They trained her at their facility and then out at lots of local spots that we visit as well as need home visits. This insured that she understood that the training was a lifestyle change not just situational. We learned a lot ourselves which was great!

HIGHLY recommend The Doghouse for boarding. We board our young German Shepherd, Zeke, here and know when we leave him, he is in good hands and still has structure and discipline. Our pup can also be very scared of adults and everyone on the entire team handles him with confidence which makes him relax. He always comes home happy and exhausted so know he has plenty of play time. Would love to have Zeke trained here but my schedule hasn't worked out yet but know they would do a great job.
