The Doghouse training has been such a blessing for our large family of 8! Before the Doghouse, Rainier our 11 month old English Setter was impulsive and would dart and chase anything and everything that moved. He would often pull our smaller children down to the ground on walks and it was a constant battle to get his energy out to the point that our long walks seemed to take over our day to day life. Rainier has now become a “new version” of his happy go lucky self. Our family is so thrilled to be able to enjoy him out on the boat and on our many adventures. He has blossomed into a content pup that is truly gentleman. We cannot say enough great things about the trainers at the Doghouse!

I adopted Daisy when she was 8 months old. Almost immediately, it was clear her previous owner never worked with her. She was pretty good outside of the home but a bit of wild woman inside. I didn’t know what to do because my previous dog wasn’t like her. She counter-surfed, chased the cats, and whined whenever she was alone. I was frustrated and not sure how to help her. I found The Doghouse through a Google search. Carrie spoke with me for 20 minutes discussing before we scheduled a meet and greet. I told my parents about it and we decided to go together. Their golden doodle, Abby, was an angel inside but a bit of a wild woman outside of the home. And the two girls spend a lot of time together. They’re best friend and essentially a bonded pair. Our meet and greet lasted over an hour and we agreed to our the girls in the Really Reliable Obedience program together. It was so worth it! It was a night and day difference. Daisy behaves in the house, knows her boundaries, is working on her independence, and her obedience outside is practically perfect. Abby no longer pulls like crazy, greets people very politely, and 9 times out of 10, she’s not distracted by squirrels. They also learned how to work as a team and are much calmer around one another. They love having a job and working together. We regularly take them on trail walks and even out to eat with no issues. In fact, the girls joined us at brunch today and everyone commented how well-behaved they are. Liz and Carrie gave the girls the tools they need to thrive. More importantly, they gave us the tools we needed to set them up to succeed. The biggest takeaway for me was learning how to communicate with the girls in a way they understand. I learned so much throughout the whole process. Another key to the girls’ success is that we continuously work with them like Liz and Carrie instructed us. We’ve incorporated the commands and training into our daily lives. We mix up the routine to keep them thinking. We also provide daily opportunities, like time at the paw park, for them to just run around and be dogs as well. Obedience is a lifelong practice. We are so grateful for The Doghouse for giving us the training we all needed to have so our girls could be good canine citizens.

Carrie & Jordan, are probably the best owners I have ever dealt with concerning my dog. THIS IS LITERALLY THE BEST TRAINERS TO GO TO. My dog Lexie loves going to train, as well as board. She loves Carrie and Liz. If you want to have your dog trained with someone who literally loves what they do, look no further these are the best trainers around. I especially love their approach to training. I love how Carrie & Jordan set an initial meet and greet with you. Then really listen to what your expectations are and if they are reasonable expectation. I like how they keep and train for 3 weeks. You get plenty of updates, pictures and a couple progress videos. And then after training you are encouraged to attend several group classes held at a dog park afterwards each month. LOVE ❤ ❤ ❤ them...
