We offer private lessons, group classes, day training, and board-and-train programs tailored to each dog’s needs. Clients come to us for leash reactivity, impulse control, separation anxiety, and behavior challenges, and stay because they see a true, lasting difference. We don’t just train dogs; we coach owners to communicate clearly and confidently. With lifetime support, including group classes, plus boarding and day programs, we provide a complete path to a well-mannered, balanced companion.

Our Doggie Daycare is a structured program designed for dogs who have completed one of our training programs and have been approved as daycare ready. This allows us to maintain a safe, controlled environment where all dogs understand expectations and communicate appropriately.
Unlike traditional run all day daycares, we focus on balance. Dogs participate in structured social sessions throughout the day, followed by scheduled rest periods to prevent overstimulation and reinforce calm behavior.
Daycare runs from 6:30am to 7:00pm, Monday-Friday. Drop-off times are between 6:30am9:30am, and pick-up times are between 4:30pm7:00pm. At this time, we do not offer half days.

Kurtis was extremely helpful in learning about what services are available and would he recommended for our situation. Our trainer, Bethany, was a perfect fit for us! She was incredibly knowledgeable and was very helpful. She really spent a lot of time listening to our questions and concerns, and making sure we were getting everything we wanted from the training. Bethany really helped me gain confidence in working with our dog, Lucy. The training has helped increase the bond we have with our smarty pants!!

The Dog Wizard Westlake is exceptional. From the very beginning, they showed extraordinary care, patience, and compassion—not only toward my dog, but to me as well. Bugsy came to me as a rescue who struggled with several behavior issues. Kurtis, Megan and team approached every challenge with expertise and genuine kindness.
The results have been great, but even more meaningful is the bond that Bugsy developed with them. It was obvious that he genuinely loved spending time with them, which speaks volumes about the trust and connection they were able to build.
I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trainer who is not only highly skilled but also deeply committed to the well-being of both dogs and their owners.
I'm so grateful for the support group (included with the initial costs) that will keep our progress going strong. I have also signed Bugsy up for daycare, which wasn't planned, but I want to give this guy the best life, and that will need to include this team of great people.

Bethany is an exceptional trainer. She is knowledgeable, passionate and incredibly skilled at helping you understand the "why" behind the training (to break down scenarios by thinking like a dog). Throughout the process, she was very thorough when answering our questions and always made us feel supported.
Bethany, Kurtis and the entire team are fantastic. It's obvious that everyone there genuinely loves what they do. We're so grateful for everything The Dog Wizard did for our family. The investment was absolutely worth it and seeing our dogs comfortably sharing our home has been one of the greatest gifts. We would recommend Bethany and The Dog Wizard without hesitation.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at The Dog Wizard. They worked with my dogs Luna and Eb because I needed help successfully integrating them into the same home and the results have truly exceeded my expectations.
From the very beginning, Kurtis went above and beyond. I was bringing Eb in from out of state on a very tight timeline and Kurtis was incredibly accommodating in squeezing us into the training schedule. He understood how important the timing was and approached the entire situation with compassion and flexibility, which immediately put me at ease.
Bethany was Eb and Luna's assigned trainer and she was absolutely wonderful to work with. She takes the time to understand every dog's personality, she explains training processes clearly and she gives you the knowledge and confidence to continue reinforcing everything at home. She taught me how to be a better handler, but what meant the most to me, was the patience and encouragement she showed throughout the process. After a traumatic and heart-breaking experience around dog aggression, I've carried a lot of anxiety, especially about introducing Luna and Eb. Bethany was sensitive, anticipated my worries, helped me understand what I was seeing, and gave me the confidence to trust both my dogs and myself. She didn't just train Luna and Eb... she helped me heal too.
I'd also like to recognize the kennel technician who greeted us every day during our board and train. I feel terrible that I can't recall his name, but he was always friendly, welcoming and genuinely excited to see my dogs. My morning interactions with him made every drop-off and pick-up a positive experience and reflected how much the entire team truly cares.
Today, Luna and Eb are living together successfully and I'm so grateful for The Dog Wizard for making that happen!

Our dog Gimli (a 6 year old Beagle) is a whole new dog after doing the day training program. Worth every single penny. He went from super reactive, always leash pulling, and barking to calmer, better listener, and just amazing. Gabby was an amazing trainer and we're excited to see her at support group!
