To begin with, the board and train felt peaceful that my dog was in the comfort of someone's home but accomplishing two things at once. I have long wanted to have support so that I felt confident to bring my dog anywhere and not be so stressed. I knew Dog Wizard was the place during my initial visit when my dog was whining and John told me he was bored and how to set him at ease. I know that sounds simple, but they KNOW dogs and the way that they work with humans and dogs is profound. I have had my dog in formal training before, but never had the outcome I wanted. Before and at pick-up, Keila was inquisitive and attentive to all of our goals and anxieties. My mind was at ease right after our initial phone call. She sent updates often while he was away with videos and progress. I was amazed! When Keila brought Koda home, not only was he a different dog and extraordinarily calm, she taught us unique, small strategies that I wouldn't have expected that will make all the difference. Keila just finished her PhD in Psychology and I tell you what, she has the gift to work on a different level with animals and humans and her communication skills are top-notch. She also taught us how to correct and fix problems that arise so we feel empowered not just pleased with the initial outcome. I look forward to joining with the graduate group on Saturdays and know that I have continued support throughout my dog's life. I am an avid researcher and have trouble making a decision on what I choose until I have exhausted all my questions. Honestly, Keila is the absolute best!

We did the 2 week board & train for our 6 month old puppy with Keila & we were very impressed with the results. Our pup, Clover, learned various commands like place, recall, & heel! Keila was very responsive to our text messages & sent many videos of Clovers progress throughout the 2 weeks. She is a great trainer & you can tell Keila is very passionate & knowledgeable when it comes to her job!

Our trainer, Brian, was awesome, and our dog, Moose, is a completely different dog now (in the best way possible)! Moose is a very smart, but very stubborn, German Short-haired Pointer that we rescued from starvation after being dumped off by his original owner, so he was a wild dog that we thought couldn't be tamed. He played too rough with our other dogs and we couldn't walk him because he pulled too much. He couldn't take treats without biting our hands off. Nothing worked. But, then we reached out to the Dog Wizard. We were assigned to Brian's class and he was miracle worker! Brian taught us that the biggest issue was us, not Moose, which was actually really nice to learn. We were too nice and our desire for better behavior wasn't likely going to happen because we couldn't give clear directions. Brian taught us that being consistent and firm is great for us (as the dog parents), but also great for our pup! We learned that mixed commands are confusing, but when our pup has a job to do and we consistently communicate, Moose learns easily and is so happy and excited to do well that every "command" becomes second nature. We are so happy with the Dog Wizard, and we highly recommend Brian. We couldn't be happier!
