The Dog Wizard Charlotte

We've had an amazing experience with the Dog Wizard of Charlotte so far and are thankful it's not over yet! Our wild puppy, Lincoln, participated in the Puppy Preschool Program on Wednesday nights with Alissa, Kiki, and Jamie and did a one week Board and Train with Alissa as his main trainer! These three are always willing to go above and beyond to help not only train your dog to obey commands and work through distractions, but also to teach YOU how to communicate with your dog more effectively. They take the time to get to know each dog and will adapt their training methods to meet your dog's specific needs. They're also super patient and compassionate, and will make you feel like they love your dog whether he's the best behaved dog in the world or crazy like ours. Every time we take Lincoln to the Dog Wizard of Charlotte, we--and he--learn something new that we can incorporate into our lives to make having a crazy puppy a little less work and a lot more fun. The Dog Wizard has been worth every penny we've paid and we cannot wait to see how much more Lincoln will learn with them in the future.

My dog Ellie and I first worked with The Dog Wizard in 2021 after she was adopted and I was looking to train my first dog of my own. We did private lessons with Brittany, who is an extremely knowledgeable and caring dog trainer. Ellie is a very sweet rescue pup who had very little leash skills when I first got her. We now navigate busy SouthEnd rail trail with ease and she is off leash reliable; all with credit through her training with The Dog Wizard. I have had nothing but positive interactions with all the staff and trainers, and they truly care about the dogs in their care. Ellie attends daycare, has gone on field days, and completed enrichment camp with trainer Helen. We will now be working with Brittany again to expand on her skills :) I will continue to recommend The Dog Wizard to anyone looking to invest in an extremely thorough dog training program or a well balanced, social daycare experience. They are the best!

We LOVE The dog wizard. Our pups have been going there since 2022 when we got our first dog now we got 5. We’ve done training, boarding, field days, enrichment camps etc. The staff is awesome and very knowledgeable, they always have tips on how to handle different situations with your pup; not only they get trained but also get highly socialized with other dogs, which we appreciate since we got two dogs that are a large/dominant breed. We always get compliments on how well our dogs behave. We are very grateful to have them. Highly recommended!!

I cannot say enough good things about The Dog Wizard. They helped completely transform our sweet Odin. He was a rescue, very nervous, with a lot of anxiety outside and on the leash. Dog Wizard trained him/us on the E Collar allowing him to focus his energy into commands instead of being anxious about the world. He’s perfect in place now and using thresholds. We can walk on the leash without excessive pulling. He can walk in his transitional in perfect heal. And best of all for him we trust him to be off leash exploring knowing he has good recall with the collar. I cannot recommend them enough! We even sent him back to Enrichment camp when we went on vacation after his initial board and train because we had such good results. His trainer Kiki was absolutely amazing and really took the time to train us as much as Odin. She even came to the house for a session. Best money we ever spent. They gave Odin the tools and confidence he needed to become our adventure buddy.
