Working with Sara at The Dog Wizard has been an incredible experience from start to finish. We came to her with two puppies who couldn’t have been more different — one fearful and lacking confidence, the other bold and overconfident. Sara immediately understood each dog’s personality and created a training plan that helped both flourish. She built confidence in our timid pup through patient, positive guidance and gave our spirited one the structure and focus needed to channel that big personality in the right direction. Hannah was also wonderful — so sweet yet firm — and her gentle consistency made a huge difference in helping our shy pup gain trust and confidence. Thanks to Sara’s calm, supportive teaching style, both dogs mastered all the training basics — sit, down, place, off, leave it, drop it, and loose leash walking — while also learning how to socialize and handle new environments with confidence. Sara doesn’t just train dogs; she teaches owners how to communicate and grow with them. Our puppies are now balanced, happy, and confident, and we’re so grateful to The Dog Wizard for giving them the perfect start in life.

We started working with The Dog Wizard because our two dogs, Copper (Heeler) and Tucker (Mini Aussie), were having serious issues getting along. Both would get overstimulated and redirect onto each other, and it was incredibly stressful for everyone. We were desperate for help and that’s when Sara became our lifesaver. From day one, Sara has been patient, understanding, and incredibly skilled at reading both dogs and people. She helped us understand what was really happening between them and trained us to handle their behavior with confidence and calm. We’ve learned how to recognize early signs of stress, de-escalate before things spiral, and build routines that help both dogs feel secure and focused. While Copper and Tucker still can’t be together unmuzzled yet, the progress we’ve made is night and day. They’re calmer, happier, and far more responsive to us than ever before. Sara has given us the tools, knowledge, and hope to keep building toward even more success. We are an ongoing case and will continue to use The Dog Wizard for any and all training needs.
