The Dog Training Spot

After another trainer failed to help our puppy—eventually giving up after six months—we turned to Stephanie at The Dog Training Spot. From the first home visit, we saw her deep, intuitive understanding of dogs. Our puppy had been hyper-vigilant from the start—barking constantly, reacting aggressively on the leash, and attacking vacuums, mops, and jumping on visitors. She rarely relaxed and was overwhelmed by everyday stimuli. Walks were stressful, dog parks were a disaster, and our home life felt isolated. We enrolled her in Stephanie’s three-week board-and-train program, and the transformation was incredible. Walks became controlled, enjoyable, and many behavioral issues disappeared. A follow-up week addressed her fears of vacuums and hair dryers. She came home calmer, happier, and more obedient—a joy to be around. Thanks to Stephanie, our once-challenging puppy is now one of the best dogs we’ve ever had—and she’s our seventh. A true miracle worker.

I rescued a male dog who had essentially been raised by other dogs for most of his young life. He was hesitant and unsure on how to take cues from me and was highly anxious in his first few months here. We had issues with potty training, barking/lunging at other dogs and people, and he was quite the escape artist when anyone came or went from the home. Stephanie was recommended by our vet and from our very first session I noticed improvement in my dog’s behavior and his anxiety decreased. After training sessions with Stephanie my little boy has become quite well behaved and feeling settled in our home. Stephanie’s patience and ability to “speak dog” helped my relationship with my pup. He now responds to cues from me, loves to cuddle, can walk on a leash, and enjoys his golf cart rides without lunging and barking at everything he sees. I highly recommend the Dog Training Spot.

Winnie recently was with Stephanie for her board to train program. As a doxie, Winnie is a very stubborn girl with few boundaries that I was not good at fixing. After spending time with Steph and the other dogs at the training center, she is MUCH calmer. She is now a dream to walk on leash, has boundaries, and actually listens to me. We continue to work on her “come” cue as this is where Winnie’s stubbornness continues. Winnie and I would highly recommend Stephanie and her training center. Stephanie's dog training spot is a ( godsend) to people that have a difficult fur baby. I adopted a dog that was a stray and was 3 years old, thinking that he would be easy to train (wrong) .The breed ,is a Chiweenie, which I found out the second day that I had no worries because this 12# dog was going to protect me from ANYTHING. I researched dog trainers in my area and was lucky to find The Dog Training Spot, Buddy went for training and came home a new and enjoyable little Fur Baby, Thanks Steph, your the best.
