The Dog Training Spot

I adopted a dog who had been rescued from a puppy mill. She was afraid of me, and most other things, had never lived in a house before. She was so timid and aloof, I was almost despairing of whether this was going to work out. I needed help! I contacted Stephanie, who had worked with my previous dog. She did some video sessions with me (this was all during the Covid quarantine!), and helped me understand how my new dog was seeing & experiencing things. And how to work with her without the kind of pressure or approach that would make her shut down. Within 3 or 4 weeks she was a completely different dog!! She has really started to come out of her shell, is so much more comfortable and confident -- last week we started doing agility jumps in the backyard off-leash! Thank you Stephanie, for helping me see things more clearly and teaching me the right way to approach my new pup! We are both so grateful. :)

My wife and I are a big rescue dog family, which means A LOT of personality under one roof! Two of our dogs had aggression towards each other which we had a difficult time in understanding what led to that behavior. We were having a difficult time with our foster dog adjusting to life outside of the shelter who would have bouts of aggression out of fear and discomfort. Stephanie helped us with consent training to help him get over that fear and it helped tremendously. She is very knowledgeable with different breeds and training in general. She shared a few methods to help us train him and it made a huge difference. She even followed up with us to see how it was going. We would definitely recommend her services!
