This place is fantastic! You receive photos and videos of your pup while at daycare and you also receive the same with board and train, but also describing what they are doing training wise by text to help you better instand their process/techniques. The entire staff is just incredible. Loving to all the animals and you can just tell how much these animals love them. I brought my rescue that I’ve had for about three months and I needed help rather quickly because I have a large extended family where we have big gatherings at our home with 25 to 30 people or more on different occasions throughout the year. We also started demolition the day that I picked him up, which was actually today and I needed him Desensitized of strangers, loud sounds And he has been nothing but amazing not barking just chill as a cucumber. I’m totally amazed by this group. I really love the balance of allowing the dogs to still be able to act as a pack And learn how to play with each other nicely, But also giving them downtime as they rotate the dogs into the play area. I can’t thank them enough for what they’ve done for me and Chance in such a short amount of time. This will definitely be my pups place for boarding moving forward.

It’s truly disappointing that I even have to write this review because my relationship with The Dog School started out so positively. My dog, Beignet, completed his training program and came home with great obedience skills, which is why I trusted them with boarding over the years. Unfortunately, there were several concerns that I overlooked because of that positive first experience. At one point, learned that a shock collar had been used on my dog without my knowledge or consent (only found out when they sent check-in video while I was out of town). While I understand tools like this have a purpose, owners should always be informed before they’re used. Also, toys I brought for him were also consistently returned broken or never returned at all, but those were minor compared to what happened recently. After they moved to their new location, I picked Beignet up from boarding twice with a black, extremely sticky substance matted into the exact same area under his right front leg. The first time, I was told it was likely dirt that would wash out, but it never did and I had to cut it out of his fur. The second time, the substance had adhered all the way to his skin, leaving a painful wound that required a vet visit. The vet had to shave the area, thoroughly clean the wound, and my dog has spent the past week in a cone while it heals. To the owner’s credit, she refunded the boarding stay as to reimburse the veterinary bill, which I appreciated. However, after two nearly identical incidents (one resulting in an injury), I no longer feel comfortable leaving my dog in their care. I sincerely hope my experience was an isolated one, but I feel it’s important to share it so other pet owners can make an informed decision.

The Dog School New Orleans gave exceptional service for me and my dog! They really took the time to work with my dog, correct her issues, and made sure I knew how to correct the behaviors as well. I also took my dog to their doggy daycare. I had never dropped my dog off anywhere before but they made me feel very comfortable and sent video and picture updates which I appreciated! 10/10 experience and I definitely recommend!
