The Dog Knowledge

We recently took our 6month old lab for a 4 week training to TDK. She grew in many ways and the 4 hours that they took the time to train our family was exceptional. Some will ask was it worth all the money, but the first time she was in "place" and we had a peaceful family dinner....I think we're off to a great start. No barking, no nipping, attentive, easy to walk, responsive....the future looking at a dog's long and happy life. Because we choose TDK, our family is trained and have much work ahead. Great Job!

We did the 4 week board/train program for our 3 year old Australian labradoodle and have nothing but positive things to say about TDK. We reached our last minute and Dennis provided extremely helpful information about their training program and worked with us to get our pup into training quickly. We got weekly updates and pictures. The graduation session you attend to learn about how to work with your newly trained pup is soo helpful and they work with you 1:1 for as long as you need. We’ve done training with our pup before and never received this level of training as her owners. I was soo worried about our pup losing her personality with the training but she didn’t lose a single bit. She has all of her personality but now is also TRAINED, can listen/focus, and is so much more well behaved. We look forward to taking advantage of the in-home training, daycares/boarding, and Sunday training sessions to ensure our pup never loses what she learned. I would recommend the TDK to anyone looking for dog training - it’s incredible! We only wish we found them sooner!

After moving to Charlotte, we were looking for a great location for daycare and boarding for our two Aussie doodles. Since our dogs had previously had training, we were skeptical that they would benefit from the training at TDK. However, after only 2 weeks, both dogs have become much better behaved and manageable. Loose leash walking, reduced barking, staying on place, and much more. Our graduation training with Becky was so informative and we feel that she put us in a position to maintain the gains that our dogs made during their training. We have subsequently used TDK for daycare. The staff already know our dogs by name and greet them on arrival. We are very pleased with our experience at TDK.

Nothing but positive things to share about their 4 week training program. As soon as our eval starter, it was clear that Debbie and Justin understood our rescue dog Sally. They sat with us and talked through her challenges and strengths, assuring us that they would tailor her training specifically to her reactivity to other dogs. We left feeling hope for the first time since taking her home from the shelter two months prior. Throughout the 4 weeks they gave updates on her progress and shared pictures of Sally’s training (or just being cute)! Graduation day, we met an entirely new dog. A sense of calm and confidence had developed with her training and we spent over 2 hours with Justin going over everything she had learned. They also include free in home follow up trainings, and 3 days later we worked with Justin again on applying the training atmosphere into our home. While entirely new in her composure, just like they assure you when you begin training, Sally has not lost one bit of personality or the energy and spunk we love! We can’t thank the team for making this a truly worthwhile investment and look forward to continuing our training journey!

Goose (my sweet but sassy 3 year old golden retriever) just graduated from the Dog Knowledge. The team is incredible to say the least. During training, we were sent lots of photos/videos of Goose's progress during the camp as well as encouragement while he was away! Post graduation, the Dog Knowledge staff has been so supportive - continuing to help us enrich and strengthen his training from home, also providing feedback specific to his breed and his needs. If we ever got a sibling for Goose, I would 100% send them to the Dog Knowledge again. Thank you guys for the support, Goose is so well behaved and happier honestly!
