We chose The Dog House initially because of its location & online reviews. Their yard & space is well kept & welcoming & they always met us outside as we drove in which was a reassuring touch. We brought Gus to Mark & Sarah with terrible leash habits & high anxiety. They are very knowledgeable in their field & not only put Gus’s anxiety to rest but ours as well. We walked up & down the street to get a feel for how Gus “should” be walking on leash. They also had multiple backyard exercises for him to perform, one of which was “place”, which Gus took great pride in. In just a short time they diagnosed his issues & had exercises to help alleviate his bad habits & get him on track!! They made sure that we were comfortable with the exercises & training that we were going to be using with Gus prior to leaving & made a special collar available to make it easier on all of us!!! “He’s a working dog” Mark said, “he needs jobs & wants to please you”….the rest is history! Gus is walking on leash like a completely different dog! He’s happier & so are we!!! I would recommend Mark & Sarah to anyone needing caring, compassionate training for YOU & your dogs!! LOL

Sarah and Mark are both knowledgeable and compassionate people that made our Odin feel right at home from the beginning. Their dogs are wonderful at helping to socialize other dogs and make them feel like part of the pack. Whenever we brought Odin over he always left happy and in high spirits. They also foster rescue dogs and we recently adopted Kaya whom they were fostering through the Big Hair Animal rescue program. Kaya had training with Mark and Sarah and we could not have asked for a more well behaved pup under one year. The training they provided to Kaya was vital to her success in our home. We are so thankful to have found Mark and Sarah!

Our Allie spent the week at The Dog House while we were on vacation this past week. Not once did we worry about her. Not only did Mark and Sarah treat Allie as their own but we got daily pictures of the fun things she did while there . They continued the training that we have been working on with them the month leading up to her stay there. They exceeded our expectations and we will board all there again and again when needed. We can’t wait to continue with training to help Allie get to be the best family dog she can be .

I boarded my puppy Mudd here and it could not have been a better fit. It was his first time being boarded and I wasn’t worried about him at all thanks to the great care and frequent updates from Sarah and Mark, I knew he was in great hands and having a blast with their pack. While he was with them I received tons of updates with pictures of him on walks, playing, etc. I loved that he was staying in a home setting with lots of exercise and attention. I came home to a very happy and tired puppy, I will definitely be bringing him back in the future!
