The Dog Den

I really cannot say enough great things about Ally and the Dog Den team. We brought our 2 yo Golden Retriever, Millie, to Ally and her team for their board and train back in April. We were really struggling with Millie’s leash walking and extreme noise sensitivity/anxiety. Prior to the board and train, we couldn’t get Millie to walk outside of our apartment complex because she’d be so scared of noises coming from the main street that would result her to pull us back to the apartment with her tail tucked between her legs. Whenever we could get her to go for a walk, she would stubbornly pull us to whichever direction she wanted to go. After the board and train, we’ve been able to take her on walks around our entire block with no issues. She walks right beside us in a perfect heel position and follows our lead. She still has some noise sensitivity, however Ally and her team showed us how to help Millie work through her sensitivity in certain scenarios which has helped us to help Millie see that the world isn’t so big and scary. We’ve even been able to take Millie to loud environments like brewery’s and busy downtown streets and she’s remained perfectly calm walking or laying right by our side, which before wouldn’t have been possible. To add to it, we’ve even had people come up to us to complement how well behaved our dog is. Ally and her team have removed such an immense amount of stress my wife and I were having with trying to make sure Millie would be comfortable wherever she went. We no longer feel restricted to where we can bring Millie and it’s opened up a whole new world for us and, more importantly, for Millie girl. I really can’t recommend The Dog Den highly enough — from the first day we took Millie for an evaluation visit it was evident that Ally and her team put an immense amount of thought into building a safe, clean and structured training environment to ensure success for each dog they work with. 5 Stars! Our English bulldog was a total butt—stubborn, hard-headed, and doing whatever he wanted… until we met Ally! She put in the time, patience, and consistency he needed, and now he’s well-mannered, listens to commands, and is honestly a whole new dog (in the best way). Ally also boards him when we’re out of town, and I’m always completely at ease knowing he’s with someone who truly cares. She treats him like one of her own, and it shows. If you’ve got a strong-willed pup, Ally is the one you want in your corner. Total game changer!

100% Recommend this training company; you will not regret. We have a now 6 month old German Shepherd puppy. As sweet as she has always been, before training we had no control, and she had no discipline. The second we walked in to drop her off here, she immediately sat, then lied down (something we had struggled so hard to get her to do, came natural to her here). She was also quite difficult in the beginning here; she pooped in her kennel for numerous nights, many times, and made quite a few messes. Allyson & her crew were all dedicated to making things right, and were so willing to keep working with her, despite her difficulty. **BONUS** they are super tech savvy - we got constant updates, photos, and videos! We always felt included in her care and growth. Now that she is home with us, I can say it’s as if she is a new dog. She has discipline, listens, and we have so much more structure with her. Ally helped us gain the tools we needed when we are having difficulties or run into bumps in the road, which happen of course and come with raising a puppy. We feel more confident in taking her places, as they took her to a variety of spots to get her adjusted to new environments! It isn’t just sitting and some cool tricks - the girl now officially has manners! We are beyond grateful for all of the help and we are so pleased with the outcome of the training services we received. Bottom line: If you’re thinking about getting your dog trained here, just quit looking and book this place. You seriously WILL NOT regret it. We are SOOOO happy we decided to go through with dog den. They’re the BEST!
