We recently wrapped up our final training by John with our corgi puppy. We were skeptical whether 1:1 training would be worth it, especially for a breed as stubborn as a corgi! After our first of six sessions, we already felt comfortable and confident we made the right decision. John taught us the value of positive reinforcement using not only treats, but using hand signals, body language, and at times, a clicker. At 5 months old, our puppy Zaxby will continue to grow and learn. And even our two 6-year old cats are starting to accept that they will co-exist together in our home, albeit corgis are a herding breed and naturally want to chase them. John helped us with new methods for us to help curb that. John showed us effective methods that have helped us walk our puppy with less pulling, which was another huge challenge we had before meeting with John. Overall, we are very impressed with John. Our communication was easy from the start, always on time, flexible, friendly, and very knowledgeable and experienced. He handled Zaxby every session we had. Highly recommend. Any age, any breed, you won't regret the investment for lessons learned for your dog and for pet owners like us.

We sought John’s help with our Golden Retriever’s leash reactivity and his style of training was so helpful for addressing the specific issues we were having with her. She’s not perfect, but we know what to work on and have the tools to do it. We also worked on other commands to help strengthen her connection to us and consistency listening and following commands. John had so many great ideas for training and came with different tools and props to try different things. We learned so much and will definitely call on him again when we need more help with our girl. Highly recommend him for anyone in need of a skilled and compassionate trainer for their dog.

John exhibited expertise and patience in working with my 21-year-old daughter to train her new rescue dog, who was exhibiting fear and aggression towards other dogs on leashes. Most importantly, in a short while, he taught her several useful techniques to practice on her own with the dog, which she continues to do, and which are producing results. John came to our house and was flexible with our somewhat difficult schedule. While his hourly rate is not cheap, it is worth the money, as several productive sessions will be repaid with years of good dog behavior.
