After years of recall issues with our 6-year old Goldendoodle, I decided to try an e-collar and wanted an experienced trainer to teach me how to properly use it. Based on his many positive reviews and after an initial introductory meeting, I signed up for three lessons with Dominik. Right away, I felt I made the right choice. I was impressed with Dominik's knowledge, his teaching style, and his philosophy. To start with, he recommended a specific style of e-collar - one that could be adjusted more precisely and, therefore, would be more humane. While three lessons were not enough to fully re-train our dog, Dominik taught me what I needed to know and practice. I can happily report that I have not had a single recall issue over the past several months, which have included daily off-leash walks on the beach and in the park. I would highly recommend Dominik, whether working with a puppy or, like me, teaching an old dog new tricks.

Dominik is an amazing trainer. The way he works is clear, concise, and provides real results almost immediately. We did a six-session course with him, and over the weeks, each new step/element he showed us was carefully considered, well-explained, and then shaped for each specific client in question; ours being our new 2 year old rescue husky. (Side note: she was so excited to see him every week, which is a great indication of what a perfect trainer he is). We have a very well-behaved dog now, and if the old adage is true -- that it's more about training you than training the dog - we are well-trained pet parents now, as well. Can't recommend him highly enough.

I cannot recommend Dominik enough. We adopted Franky, a pit mix who was extremely anxious around people and dogs and everytime I walked him, it was a nightmare - lunging at people, barking like a lunatic at any dog that he could see and pulling me down the street. Dominik was extremely patient with him and showed me and my husband how to lead which also gave Franky confidence that he is safe and no longer needs to be on guard all the time due to past abandonment and trauma. I truly believe that bringing him to Dominik saved him and made him a happier and more confident dog.

We had a great experience working with Dominik! Our dog Cooper had developed a lot of aggression towards strangers coming in the house. Dominik not only gave us a plan for tackling that specific issue, but was great in actually educating us about why our dog behaves the way he does, and how to react and work on training in other scenarios. By the end of the three sessions, we were able to have a guest come in the house and walk around, and Cooper was able to chill out and basically ignore him (something we could not have done three weeks ago!). I feel like we really have the tools now to continue working with Cooper and improving these behaviors in the future.

Before Dominik, our dog Baby was an unruly mess who was tearing up the house every day and night, wouldn’t take no for an answer, refused to step a foot into his crate, pulled the leash everywhere he went, was constantly snatching food (and non-food) items that weren’t his, and was overly mouthy even though he was well past his teething phase. We were scared to get on his bad side every day of our lives and were considering bringing him back to the shelter despite already having him for several months. Now, Baby chews on nothing but his own toys and bully sticks, goes into his crate every night without complaints, walks perfectly at our pace, lays patiently by our feet whenever we go out to eat or sit somewhere, and respects our boundaries like we respect his. Without Dominik, we wouldn’t have been to able to see what a wonderful dog our Baby is and we are so thankful!
