The Devoted Dog

In the fall of 2021, we began searching for a new puppy to join our family after losing our beloved dog earlier that year. Our 3-year-old dog needed a companion, and we were drawn to the Literary Litter born in 2021. While meeting the puppies, we were impressed by the dedication of the foster parents at Unchained Melodies. We fell in love with Kurt Vonnegut, a name we loved so much we decided to keep it. Due to our busy schedules, we didn't start training with Kurt right away. Later, when he started showing signs of anxiety, we reached out to Kai, a professional trainer from Unchained Melodies. His expertise was invaluable. With his guidance, we learned how to help our dogs develop calmer and more appropriate behaviors. We've made significant progress, but we know that training is an ongoing process. I'm incredibly grateful for the support and resources we've received from Unchained Melodies and Kai

We took the Adult Etiquette class through Unchained Melodies and it was such a great experience. Kai is incredibly knowledgeable about how dogs think and what motivates them, and had so many great tips for how we could adjust things for our dog or expand on the training. I also learned so much more than the skills advertised. There is a play break in the middle of the class for the pups and Kai narrates their interactions. I found learning how dogs communicate with one another and what respectful play should look like fascinating. Kai also sends detailed notes and helpful documents after each class for you to refer back to when you are doing homework. This was such a fun way to bond with and get to know our newly adopted pup!
