The Daily Dog

Our dog Daisy is a highly energetic terrier mix and when we first got her as a rescue, we had a difficult time starting the training process. We read training books and watched YouTube videos with little help supplied. It became clear we needed a personal trainer. Donna has made a significant difference. We now know how to calm Daisy in order to continue on with the different training activities. We finished with Donna a couple of weeks ago, and while Daisy is still a work in progress, she has come quite a way! Donna is only a phone call/email away for continued support which is reassuring. I would not hesitate to reach out to her. She is not just highly knowledgeable, she knows how to communicate with both people and dogs in a professional, supportive, and friendly manner.

We are eternally grateful to Donna and the Daily Dog for helping our rescue dog, Kova, overcome her fear issues. We can't thank her enough! When Kova came to us at 3 years old from a shelter in Memphis and a short foster home stint in RI, she was nervous and aggressive when people came to our house or she encountered dogs or people while walking. We were fortunate to be referred to Donna and we enrolled her in the Daily Dog board and train program. With Donna's training, Kova learned to become calmer, less aggressive and more comfortable with everyone. Donna uses a dual modality approach to training - an obedience and relaxation method which is different than most trainers. This is a helpful approach for all dogs but especially for dogs who have fear issues (which are many rescue dogs). Donna was knowledgable, patient, encouraging and respectful. She uses positive reinforcement and is keenly aware of how each dog learns so she can put together a customized plan for each dog. She was great about including the whole family into the training so we could all learn as well. In addition to specific training techniques, she taught us about dog behavior and dog communication so we could better understand Kova and her needs. We have a truly different dog after training with Donna - happy, loving, calmer, fun and comfortable. Thanks so much Donna and the Daily Dog!!! After relocating to Marshfield from the West Coast one of my biggest concerns was being able to leave on the weekend and have someone to watch our dogs that we trusted. After talking around I found The Daily Dog. Shawna was sent to our house to meet the pups and chat. We have used her multiple times and I could not be happier. I can plan a weekend away without even worrying about who is going to watch the dog. We love getting updates and I can rest assured that they are taken care of and when we return they are happy as can be!!! Its nice to be able to leave them in our house and keep them in their routine. Shawna is the best and we couldn't be more grateful for coming across The Daily Dog and meeting their fabulous team!!! We will be using them for many many more years to come!

We have a 2 year old Golden Retriever who was very exciteable and easily distracted. Donna came highly recommended to us by a friend and we are so happy we pursued her! She is fantastic; her knowledge is second to none and her ability to connect with the dogs she works with is amazing. She is positive, friendly and down to earth and we truly enjoy working with her! Our dog LOVES Donna! Within he first week we noticed an immediate difference in the behavior of our pup and so did our family members. We can’t recommend Donna and The Daily Dog enough!

We have been working with Donna for training with our golden retriever, Lincoln. Lincoln is a very lovable, but "pushy" dog. We've been able to depend on Donna for not only puppy training, but for support when challenging behaviors have developed. She has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to dogs, and she is very dependable. We love Donna's positive approach to dog training, and we've truly enjoyed our experience working with her. I've grown up with dogs my entire life, and I've learned so many new things from Donna. We would recommend The Daily Dog to anyone!
