The Cultured Canine

We highly recommend Lucas and Cultured Canine. My wife and I have been working with Lucas and the Cultured Canine team for a over a year. Our labradoodle puppy, Remi, was spoiled, entitled, rambunctious, with no threshold or leash control. We tried different training clubs and classes with no satisfaction or progress. Lucas provided private lessons for a few months followed by a 4-week in-house boarding training session. Remi is a pleasure to be around, She listens, is calmer, and walks are now enjoyable.

We contacted Cultured Canine after a recommendation from a good friend. We had recently rescued a 2 year old, Desi, who was sweet and lovable, but a little too much for us to handle outside the household or in the household with visitors. She would jump all over people, was reactive to other dogs while on leash, and pushy and dominating with other dogs if allowed to socialize off leash with them. After a consultation with Lucas, we decided on the 5 week board and train program. We got many updates throughout the stay and Megan takes amazing photos (see below). Lucas and Megan made a huge difference in Desi’s behavior and we would recommend them to anyone who wants to address their dog’s behavioral problems. They are incredibly knowledgable and experienced! Her behavior around visitors is significantly better, her leash manners are fantastic, her recall is great, she is in much better control when walking around other dogs, and we know from the updates that her socialization skills are much better. Since the socialization skill is more difficult for us as owners to learn how to help her, Lucas will be helping us with that in the 5 private lessons that come with the 5 week board and train package. We are very confident that he can continue helping us reach our goals in this area. They have also been responsive to our questions we have had since Desi has been home. We highly recommend them for all your dog training needs!

Before cultured canines I talked to 3 other trainers who said my dog was just going to be anxious and fearful and that was just who he is. Lucas and Megan did an incredible job with my dog Zeke. They are extremely genuine, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. I cannot say enough good things about this business. So dedicated and hard working. They have given me the confidence to be a better owner to my dog. I now have the knowledge to communicate with my dog effectively and efficiently. He is a happier dog because of it. If you are looking for a legitimate trainer, this is the only place I recommend.

Lucas and the team at The Cultured Canine are awesome! They are truly the best when it comes to training not only the dog but the person as well. My ten pound terror, Ringo, spent five weeks boarding and training with Lucas and came back a happier, calmer dog ready to show off what he learned and teach me as well. I cannot thank them enough for working with me and my pup. I would recommend The Cultured Canine to literally anyone with a dog.
