The Crafty Pup Dog Training

We are big fans of The Crafty Pup training. We had our 9 month old puppy ‘board and train’ with Jimmy for two weeks. The training focused on the fundamentals of sit, down, stay, heel, and come. She is an energetic dog, and very willing to learn. The progress made over the two-week training period was excellent and she’s a happy and far more obedient dog, inside the house and outside as well. Jimmy kept us well apprised of her status throughout the training, via texts and videos, which we greatly appreciated. He is very skilled and good natured with the dogs, and we really like his praise based methods. We have already scheduled another two week ‘board and train’ session, which will reinforce what was taught and also work in other areas. Jimmy cares for his ‘students’, communicates regularly with the ‘parents’, and runs the business well. We highly recommend The Crafty Pup for dog training.

The Crafty Pup did a great job of laying the training groundwork for our high energy, headstrong 6 month old puppy. We left our puppy with Jimmy for close to five weeks and Jimmy was able to teach him how to sit, heel, lie down and stay. Jimmy did a great job training our family after the training period was over on how to reinforce the training at our home. He took great care and showed patience with our young boys as they learned how to work with our puppy in a constructive way. Jimmy also came to our home and made suggestions as to how we could be more successful in training and living with our active puppy. We are thankful!

During this past stay, Macky worked on his patience in “down-stays” and his recall skills, all things that are super important when we take him on walks and in our day-to-day lives!
