The Crafty Pup Dog Training

Jimmy is a one-of-a-kind dog trainer. Macky, our 19 month-old golden retriever has been trained by Jimmy twice. We went with his board and train program where Macky stayed with Jimmy for 3-4 weeks. The first set of training focused on leash commands, and the second was for off-leash with the e-collar. Jimmy and I went to Lake Geneva, Wis. where my family likes to go a lot to train Macky off-leash at a familiar location. He is really communication focused and always sends footage updating families the progress of the dogs he trains. It was a great experience, one that was personalized to fit into our needs/wants/schedules. I would 100% recommend Jimmy as a dog trainer because of his experience, reliability, and trustworthiness that is so hard to come by!

Our 6 month old puppy, Rusty, stayed with Jimmy at his house. Jimmy taught him sit, stay, come, heal, and more. He went from pulling on the leash to healing right next to me while walking (even doing it off leash!). While eating dinner or doing an activity we can put Rusty in a down stay and he will stay there until for an extended period of time until he is released. Along with boarding Rusty, Jimmy gave us private lessons. These private lessons were great and taught us how to continue the training Jimmy worked on and also enabled us to keep training new tricks for our dog. I would definitely recommend Jimmy to anyone looking for a good personable training.

Jimmy is a great trainer - we highly recommend him. We had 5 private lessons for our 5 year old dog that had little previous training and was used to doing things "his way". Jimmy would train our dog for a command with us watching, and then have each of us practice to make sure we were doing things correctly (as we'd have to practice more on our own at home and on walks). Now our dog knows heel, sit, down, stay, and come here pretty well. We also saw Jimmy's dog Yeti and what he knows is amazing, besides usual commands, shake hands, high five, and working on getting Jimmy a beer!

We had sent our 6 month old Bernese Mountain Dog to Jimmy for training while we were out of the country for two weeks. While we were away, Jimmy sent us pictures and/or videos of training each day. We could tell how much our dog enjoyed being with Jimmy and could see his progress in training very early on. It was reassuring to know that our dog was in great hands while we were away. The leash training our dog received was phenomenal. We feel that we are in complete control of our dog when we are on walks and we are finding it to be transferable into our home training. We continue to work with Jimmy in private lessons and will eventually have our dog e-collar trained. Jimmy is very knowledgeable and supportive in training us as owners, just as he worked with our dog. We look forward to continue working with Jimmy and can’t recommend him enough!
