The Confident Canine

Emily and Courtney are miracle trainers. I knew the basics but didn't have time to train my dog Faith. She is lab/hound mix and thought she will never be able to be in the same room with my other dogs and cat. She was a recuse and always chased the cat and kept jumping on my other dogs even though I had the basic training experience I needed more help. The rescue I got Faith from recommended Confident Canine and did the boarding training. I was first nervous of her being away from my other dogs and the cat for 5 weeks but had confidence in the going. The intro with Emily was an amazing experience. Not only is the facility clean but she is very professional and took control of Faith right away. I was very impressed just by seeing Faith change her mood once Emily took the leash to observe Faith and her personality. During the time away, I rarely reached out to see how Faith is but Emily and Courtney post videos on their social accounts almost everyday and didn't need to worry as they are very patient and can see her progress. I felt guilty for not reaching out but seeing the videos every time they post, I knew she is in good hands. When it was time to pick Faith up, I took lots of notes and videos to help me continue the training once we have Faith back at home. Courtney did the graduation and she was informative of things to expect but also not to be too worried about as Faith will be re-adjusting to being back at home. I followed their tips and feel better having control with Faith then her being over hyper and having no control. Both Emily and Courtney are very passionate about what they do and care not only for the dog but also the parents and what the outside life will be once the dogs have graduated. The first night was a little rough since Faith was re-adjusting but day 2 and 3 Faith is a whole better listener and can be around my other dog and cat without having to be on my toes as much. Hands down best trainers I would ever recommend to anyone.

I cannot say enough great things about my experience with The Confident Canine! Emily and Courtney are amazing! My dog did the full advanced training and it was worth every penny. I love the fact I can ask my dog to go to her “place” and she goes and lays on her bed! Taking her out places is easy as she has completely learned how to behave in a variety situations. We now go out to eat together and it is stress-free! I will continue to use them for boarding as needed and any additional training required over the years. We started working with Courtney and Emily several months ago after there were some resource guarding issues between my two girls. One of my girls was a stray. Extremely sweet, but easily the most energetically wired dog I had ever encountered. She was enrolled in their boarded training program. The progress she made in a few short weeks would have never been possible without the love, care, and EXTREME patience that Courtney and Emily showed her. As she started to make progress, we began the process of slowly reintroducing my girls. They meticulously guided us through that process and have been available ever since to discuss every new situation or potential scenario that comes up. The tools they taught us have allowed my girls to be successful and happy together. You absolutely will not find two people with more knowledge and unwavering dedication to ensuring every dog and their owner have the tools to thrive.
