The Complete Canine

This is a business of what has to be some of the best dog trainers in the country. I took my pup Timber through the beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes and he went from being anxious, impulsive, and barely able to focus, to eagerly paying attention to me and trying his best to please! Oh, and he learned some obedience too! The main obedience curriculum is based on the AKC Canine Good Citizen test so it teaches skills that are useful in everyday life, like walking on a loose leash, being calm with strangers and other dogs, and responding to "stay" and "leave it" commands. Even within each class, each dog is challenged appropriately for where they are, and everyone's progress is equally celebrated. They have a variety of other classes too, such as therapy training or tricks, so you have a number of ways to keep having fun with your dog. We ended up with Rebecca as our trainer for all three classes and she has been fantastic! She is always positive, passionate, and engaging, and at the same time is very clearly experienced and educated about dog training. Thanks to her attitude, every "correction" felt like she was giving us suggestions on how to better succeed, instead of just telling us we were doing something wrong. And even in bigger classes she takes the time to get to know each dog, which is impressive for classes that are just 6 weeks long! Additionally, I only spoke to the owner Jeremy for maybe 5-10 minutes in total one evening, and in that time learned two small skills that have actually been incredibly helpful going forward. That sort of experience with the owner speaks volumes about the quality of training here. No matter where you are with your dog when it comes to training, I would never hesitate to recommend the Complete Canine for training expertise.
