The Colorado Dog Pack

I cannot recommend Kelsey enough. Her day train program was exactly what I needed for my one-year-old pup, Georgia. Kelsey was great about setting expectations upfront, and was clear and communicative about what we’d be working on. She gave me so much good feedback and direction, and made notable progress with Georgia’s behavior in just a week. I had tried some group classes and a private trainer before our day train with Kelsey. She was far and away the best, not even close. If you’re thinking about hiring a trainer, run don’t walk.

After joining several of The Colorado Dog Pack’s group trainings with both of my reactive dogs, a Bullmastiff & Great Dane, I didn’t think twice about signing our bullmastiff, Adele up for the day train program. Adele is going on 7 this year and doesn’t get nearly as much training attention as our other younger dog does. It was just the focused reset we needed, what a difference it has made for us both. I learned Adele loves to work! Through this reset we have seen her become so much more engaged with us at home. Kelsey built on her existing foundation and helped us lock in her place, heel, thresholds/mindset, and down/stays. The communication throughout the week from Kelsey was extremely thoughtful and timely. Wish there was more stars to give! Editing to add since I wrote this review Kelsey has also worked with my Great Dane, who had/has (much improved now!) stranger danger and some dog reactivity. Carl has been through the day train program, does monthly field trips, and group training - his confidence has grown and so has his circle of trusted people!!!

We have used the group classes, pack walks and most recently day train program with subsequent field trips. Our dog Kenzi has done several other programs and while all good I cannot rave about Kelsey or her programs enough. It gave us a re-set we needed as well as restructure of our training. Kenzi is not an affectionate dog by most standards and Kelsey is the first trainer have had the she is excited to see. The day train program gave us the tools and training we needed and Kenzi the confidence to work with someone other than me. She also does the field trips during the week and it’s amazing to see how Kenzi has grown. Her anxiety is more controlled and my knowledge of how to deal with it is so much better. I cannot recommend any of these programs enough! We will 100% keep using them for both of our dogs.
