The Champion Farm

Edgar came to help us with a dog we rescued. We already have seven dogs, and this poor boy wandered into our yard during the ice storm—starved, hit by a car, and possibly abused. We got him all fixed up and started the process of introducing him to our dogs. Unfortunately, there was chaos and a few fights. We knew we couldn’t keep him. We tried finding him a new home, but he began showing aggression towards people. So many people suggested we call Champion Farms. To be honest, my husband and I were both skeptical. But Edgar came and showed us the proper way to handle and work with him. Within three hours, Zeus was finally just being a dog again. We will forever be grateful to Edgar and Champion Farms for saving Zeus’ life. They gave us the knowledge and tools we needed not only to help Zeus, but to better handle our own dogs as well. Now we can confidently find Zeus the proper home where he can truly thrive.

Our experience with Edgar and the Champion Farm was truly wonderful! Edgar helped and educated us so much, he explained this very well. I definitely needed the training for myself because he really helped me understand how to better communicate with my foster dog. He pointed out that’s where the ground work had to start and why home sessions are so important. The leash and e-collar training was great, I feel like I have a good understanding of both now that I didn’t have before. My foster is very stubborn and using other methods was wearing us both out in not good ways. But the e-collar made such an impact that now I don’t have to be the bad guy and neither of us are exhausted or constantly tethered to eachother. He had me test the e-collar on my hand first so I was able to experience exactly what my dog would, nothing bad, just a simple pinching/buzzing feeling to get my attention. It truly made a world of a difference for my stubborn/reactive dog. I feel a lot more confident about taking him out and working on his behaviors and our communication in public settings now. I also really appreciated that he brought his dogs, it helped seeing how to train in interactions with other dogs. Overall, wonderful and very educational. If you’re a foster, you 100% need to have Edgar come train you so you can train your dog, it truly makes a difference. I feel I have a good understanding and foundation to help my current foster dog be a good citizen and future foster dogs! Pascal is my current foster dog in the picture 😊🐾
