About The Capable Canine
"Training with Compassion" We use clicker training using 100 percent force free methods. We teach classes, private lessons and day school. Group classes run through puppy, beginner, intermediate, CGC/therapy and limited service dog training. We also consult with clients on behaviors such as jumping up, pulling leash, reactivity, resource guarding, fear-based behaviors, potty training, recall, and many other behaviors. We pride ourselves on being members of The Pet Professional Guild, The Association of Force Free Trainers. Instructors are required to be certified through The Certification Council for Professional Trainers (CPDT-KA). The use of shock, e-collar, prong, choke collars is NEVER USED by our trainers or at our facilities.

Jessica is an amazing trainer. I brought my pug to her Level 1 training group to get her some socialization during the winter, but she actually was trainable which is a bit of a feat for a pug. Jessica was engaging and patient and it was a pleasure to attend her classes. I highly recommend her to anyone with a dog with some behavioral issues as well as my friends who have new puppies looking for training.
I have used Jess the owner of Capable Canine as a dog trainer for 12 plus years. She has assisted me with basic training as well as dog aggression issues. She has been extremely helpful any of the multiple times I have utilized her training services. Every new dog family member I acquire over the past decade has had the benefit of a puppy class with Jess. I highly recommend The Capable Canine.
Jessica was fantastic to work with. Her teaching method are positive reinforcement training. She interacts with the puppy’s/dogs with a very positive attitude. We did puppy class and basic obedience. She not only teaches but explains the reasoning behind what you’re doing. I would most definitely recommend her to anyone. Also got behavior questions and need some home support??? Contact Jessica.
