FirstBarkWe have had our dog trained here for a few months. Jessica has always helped us with individual problems with our pup, gave us excellent goals to work on each week and we know our dog is now the best behaved dog we know of.

About The Capable Canine
"Training with Compassion" We use clicker training using 100 percent force free methods. We teach classes, private lessons and day school. Group classes run through puppy, beginner, intermediate, CGC/therapy and limited service dog training. We also consult with clients on behaviors such as jumping up, pulling leash, reactivity, resource guarding, fear-based behaviors, potty training, recall, and many other behaviors. We pride ourselves on being members of The Pet Professional Guild, The Association of Force Free Trainers. Instructors are required to be certified through The Certification Council for Professional Trainers (CPDT-KA). The use of shock, e-collar, prong, choke collars is NEVER USED by our trainers or at our facilities.

We recently rescued a sweetheart of a dog who was transported to Maine from Arkansas. Because of this, she was terrified of the car. My wife Sandy hired Jessica for one private session and she taught her so many things to help our dog. Within a week she was jumping in our car. And the most important part is that it was all done with positive reinforcement and rewards. No force or fear. Our sweet dog who would cower at the car now happily jumps in. Now that we can get her to jump in the car, we have signed up for a beginner class.
Excellent dog class. Knowledgeable and fun trainer. Will likely return for another type of class.
The owner gave us some private lessons. She very good. We were so impressed we signed up for puppy class probably continue with other classes. She is covid-19 safe. We were very impressed with the whole set up.
