The Canine Center

I have brought our now 2 year old Dalmatian, Pearl, to the Canine Center since she was 4 months old. From the moment we began our training adventure, it has been "more fun than dirt" for both of us! Pearl is a shy, sensitive dog, and the things she has been able to learn to do under the expertise and nurturing guidance of the trainers at the Canine Center are truly remarkable. I should say we have learned to do - as training the owner is a big piece of the magic that happens here. We have taken many of their Basics and Beyond Basics offerings, along with fun (and challenging in a good way!) classes like Field Work, Hike with Dogs, Nose Work, and Agility. Today we took Intro to Off Leash Skills - I found this class amazing, as it brought together all of those skills learned in the other classes into a seamless whole. It was a big moment for both Pearl and me to do an entire trail hike at the center OFF LEASH - and be successful. Wow! I can't recommend the Canine Center enough to anyone who wants to cultivate a strong bond with their dog, have a well trained dog, and have "more fun than dirt" in the process!

We took our mini Aussie pup to a few different trainers and training programs, but didn't begin to see lasting change until we brought him to The Canine Center. They've equipped us with the tools we need to continue his training at home, and continue to see positive changes with his behavior and reactivity. We appreciate the staff's knowledge and have truly appreciated working closely with Pam and Payton.

I have taken all of my dogs to the center for almost a decade and I can't imagine life without it -- pretty sure the dogs feel the same way. I've gone to the TCCTB for adult basic training, help with discrete behavioral issues, and just to have fun with things like nosework and tracking. I also highly recommend their adventures; we just got back from a blast in South Texas of all-day dog activities like getting towed by both my dogs (pictured)

I've been going to the Canine Center for many years, but when I got my most recent pup, I headed back over. Puppy class has been a lifesaver for me & my family. Just when you think your dog is the worst, they remind you that it's just being a puppy and train you to speak "dog language". Jane, Pam and the entire staff at the Canine Center remind you to have fun, stay positive, ignore the negative and teach you to be a leader for your pack. I don't know what I would do without them - for the fun dog classes and drop-in tutor days. They are the best! Austin/ Dripping Springs is so lucky to have this resource!!
