The Balanced K-9

I wrote to Chuck the owner several times and have received no response. I brought my puppy to him who was 4 months old at the time. I had a list of things I had asked Chuck to work on with her such as sit, stay, come, understanding the word no. I had my puppy at his training facility for 3 weeks. I had to reach out on my own for updates and literal proof of life. I was told in the responses to my questions that they were working on place and break which were the most important. My dog does not know what place or break mean. My dog sometimes sits, she never comes. I was told that she was put on a treadmill even though I specifically asked him not to do it as I was concerned about her safety. I use a treadmill at home and my dog has jumped on it while I’m on it nearly killing both of us. The day I picked her up he had another dog hooked to the treadmill by its collar and the dog was unattended and struggling. I also found out that my puppy had been left from the evening hours to 7am alone at their training facility made to hold herself for adult age bladders. She was left unsupervised by a human. I could go on but save yourself the absurd amount of money they will take from you and take your dog somewhere safe where your dog has potential to learn.

It is hard to express the scope, power, and impact of the training my dog received at the Balanced K-9. When I dropped off our Old English Sheepdog puppy, Sully, for 4 weeks of training, my family had reached a crossroads after being unable to manage his behavior for months. At his best, Sully was an energetic puppy that required constant mental and physical stimulation, and used constant biting, jumping, and tackling to get his way. At his worst, Sully expressed extreme aggression during daily spells of resource guarding that resulted in multiple significant bites. After multiple attempts to correct his behavior (including hiring other trainers) and finding 0 success, we were unsure how we were going to continue caring for Sully safely. But when we picked up Sully from 5 weeks of training with Diego, Chuck, and Luciana, we were met with a completely different dog. Now, Sully has a complete grasp of invaluable commands like "place", "come", and (most importantly) "stop", and his resource guarding/all aggression is completely gone! Sometimes we can see him starting to have aggressive posture, realize that he shouldn't be doing it, and self correct before we even say anything. Even more so, we now find that Sully is able to self regulate his energy--he is still requires a healthy amount of exercise and stimulation, but he doesn't control the house with a constant need for action. The Balanced K-9 gave our family the tools we needed to communicate boundaries and taught Sully how listen and follow accordingly--THANK YOU!!!

I had an outstanding experience with The Balanced K9 dog boarding and training service. From the moment I dropped off my 3-month-old black Labrador Retriever, I felt confident he was in excellent hands. The staff is highly skilled, caring, and clearly passionate about dogs. They provided daily communication with photos and updates, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. They even worked with my 12-year-old daughter, teaching her the commands and how to reinforce the training at home, which was incredibly helpful. My dog came home better behaved and happier. He now loves his crate, and the “place” command helps so much when I need to get ready for work! I truly appreciate the professionalism and attention to detail from The Balanced K9, and I will definitely be using them again in the future for off-leash training and other services. I highly recommend Balanced K9! I sent my dog for their three-week training program, and the transformation has been amazing. She came back calm, well-behaved, and so much more obedient. The difference in her behavior is truly incredible. The team is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and clearly cares deeply about the dogs they work with.
